Fine, I'll be the guy to say it.

Do you realize how many chitcoins were shilled in these threads over the past few years? More than I can count. How many sounded like the world's greatest project that were destined to make everyone instant millionaires? Almost all of them.

Predictably, 75% of them or more fell off a cliff and left everyone holding bags of bullchit.

Buying "dinosaur" coins with well over a year of project time is smart money.

I'm not saying QNT or similar bullchit won't net you a ton of money over a short term, but you're fooling yourself if you think buying pump and dump chitcoins shilled on 4Chan are what the smart money is doing.

It doesn't take much to sort the wheat from the chaff. Use places like 4chan for IDEAS and then figure them out yourself. Take QNT, for example - I found it through some random as **** ICO "pools" group, which in turn I found from a discord, which in turn I found from 4chan. There were dozens of coins on there and most looked like ****, but when I looked into QNT I knew it would be a winner. You don't just go and buy everything everyone tells you to, but if you want to hear about things early then misc ain't the place. It's literally years behind in crypto. Interestingly, /fit is way behind the misc in terms of fitness trends/memes (i.e. the opposite way around).

Each market cycle, the MAJORITY - the vast majority - of alts from the last cycle die off and never EVER recover. It is easy to see quite early on after a dump (say, by spring/summer 2018 in this case) which are going to survive and which have been milked dry. The reasons for this are quite easy to understand - not least of which is that there are sooooo many bagholders from last time, and so much resistance on the way up. And there is less to speculate upon, because it all played out once before already.

I'd go so far as to say that if it came to true throwing of darts, you'd have a much higher chance of success from the group [projects from mid 2018 onwards] than from the group [projects that took part in the 2017 bubble]

You probably would resist any stats I gave on the matter so you should use CMC's historical prices tool to conduct your own analysis. I've been around since 2013 so saw it myself at first but it can be confirmed by methods such as that ^. The vast majority of coins in each bubble, are replaced by the time the next one come around.

It's just how it is.

p.s. QNT token has been out for a year now, and the project running a fair while before that. Cracking 1bn cap this year most likely.
