Thanks, I actually owned one of those a couple of years ago for a short period but did not like it / sold it. Came with my set of Ironmasters.

Pro is a different beast though, very different than the regular version.

Wasn't a big fan of my previous versions either. Too tall, padding wasn't great, narrow seat, ect...

But on the topic of REP, did the prices just suddenly increase for all their adjustable benches? Looks like a $40 increase for the 5000 and 5100.....

Rep just did a major stock drop. Lots of stuff available. Only thing for me is that local pickup was disabled for my color bumpers that I wanted so I had to bite the bullet and pay shipping. C'mon Rep.

I noticed that too. The FB-5000 comp bench (previously $149) and FB-5050 wide pad bench (previously $169) went up $20.

And I think shipping prices went up slightly too.

Price of the 3100 and 3000 went up by $20 each. This morning when checking for these, I noticed they were for sale (in stock), the price increases, and the ordering was down for maintenance.

At some point I want to purchase a 5200 bench, along with some plates. I'm not entirely sure if I want to go with the Rubber plates, or splurge a little bit on the Equalizer urethane plates.

Either way, I'm really undecided if I want to purchase any fitness equipment right now. I feel like it's an entire year worth of Black Friday, where companies are rushing to get equipment in stock and sold, and quality can suffer. Same with shipping - it's almost impossible to get items delivered without a shipping company damaging them around the holidays.

The urethane equalizers look nice. I think they look better than the metal equalizers.

For the 5200 Bench, maybe there will be an update version in the future for a decline attachment. Unmarkd posted the below earlier as they look to be the same bench, which is in stock but $10 more than the 5200. The decline attachment is sold separately ($90) but is OOS:

Is it just me or would anyone else be worried about putting a decline attachment on a ladder style bench?

Waiting for that thing to fold up like a lawn chair doesn't sound enticing LOL

I’m not worried, I have the prime bench and it’s a ladder bench that offers a decline attachment. My decline attachment hasn’t come in yet so can’t say for sure but from videos online it doesn’t seem to be an issue. Also, the part locking it in place has to be lifted out of the hole in order to be moved but with your weight on the bench it’s not going to come out.

This is from a REP employee:

    1) Inbound container rates have increased dramatically.

    2) Steel prices have increased

For many of these products, this is our first price hike in years. Inflation happens too. Cost of labor has increased. Lots of converging factors but the price of steel and shipping are the much bigger factors.

We did keep our prices basically flat for the 7+ months of the year since the pandemic started, even as we couldn't keep anything in stock and re-sellers charged double. We didn't have a choice though once steel and shipping costs skyrocketed.

Those are the automated answers whenever prices increase, but I do think the timing is interesting and prices never go in the opposite direction when steel/shipping fluctuate.

They just add bullet #3 then, good old inflation....LOL

In prior years I bought most of my new equipment at BF, so I know what you mean. Now we have BF manufacturing, handling and shipping without the BF pricing.

As far as pricing changes, don't blame them. Price increases from suppliers and conditions? Maybe but for the items I have focussed on they seemed out for months / highly doubt they had any in stock for months or if they did, it was single digits. I have also signed up for notifications on these items and did not get any alerts until just recently so suspect that they were truly out and not getting these benches in stock.

Beyond being a little off-put with the price increases, I also don't want any issues with potential manufacturing hiccups or shipping issues that often occur near BF and holidays.

Their email notices aren't very useful--items sellout within hours. There have been many times items drop and no email notification. This is the same with Rogue, too. I use a website monitoring chrome extension called Distill that works very well. It will email you whenever the Rep webpage changes. You can select a region of the webpage for more accuracy. That's how I have managed to buy anything at all from Rep and also Rogue. Can't add a link (not enough posts) but it's easy to find with search.

We have scaled up to production levels that are around 5x what we could do a year ago. Still isn't close to enough, but you will see a big surge of in-stock items in a couple of weeks
Are you shipping all items from PA? When I look at shipping prices for V2 rubbed coated plates, the shipping charge is still $130, which is what I had been seeing months ago. Seems odd the price would be the same to go cross country, vs under 100 miles.

I bought the 5-50lb set (just waiting for them to ship) and would be interested (and likely others) in the above type set.
There's definitely new opportunities now for offering products that didn't sell enough before to be worth the warehouse space pre-covid. We don't want to leave customers hanging that buy our urethane dbs so we will re-consider this soon.
dukenukem7777, after your initial response in July I saw that the 55s through 80s were added back to the urethane pairs page and that looked promising, however it looks like your new site went live today and the 55s through 80s have been removed. So did you decide against making those pairs available for purchase again?

Rep began teasing their Monolift attachments. I was hoping they’d keep the dual ear design of their half rack spotter arms and rounded sandwich j-cups. These will likely use a pin at the bottom.

Those look cool. I've got a pair from Edge, although I don't like that I have to spin the nuts on and off every time I want to move them. Those look much simpler.

Disappointing, wasting money cutting out useless logo's & designs when you're just going to recreate Rogue's hockey stick. Mech's superior design is out there, could have just paid him for the plans and had the best Mono's on the market (or at least borrowed key features). Round counter weight, offset, deeper j-cup, rubber backstop, ect. Unless the range of motion on the swing arm is incredibly deceiving and longer than others, I'd just buy Titan. Coop will give it 5 stars though, no stickers....lol

I have not seen a single manufacturer come up with round counter weight and rubber back stop ( which is like may be 50 cents to $1 ) . Not sure what would be reason ? Cost? And also based on the second bolt I am not betting on range of motion of the swing arm.

This is the one I ordered from EliteFTS for my collegiate rack. Hasn't got here yet. Looks like it should be OK. What do you all think?

My guess is shipping is calculated based on which location it’s shipping from. I just checked the shipping on 2 utility horns and shipping was $24 to me in California. I then checked shipping for a 14kg/31lb kettlebell to me and it was $26 shipping. I’m guessing the KB is in CO and the utility horns are in PA, but I could be wrong...if not, not sure why 2 weight horns would cost as much to ship as the 31lb KB. I sent an email to Rep for clarification. I’m also seeing tax being added now (wasn’t seeing it when I was calculating shipping on the old site).

Looks to be more of the same, why can't these companies figure out a way to increase the ROM on the swing arm like Mech did? I can live with the Titan hockey stick, the EliteFTS looks a little nicer in all black (kinda), but let's make these things offset and increase that ROM by another 1-2" just for peace of mind.

One of the main reasons I stayed with RML when I moved and bought a new rack was to retain Mech's monos. Not joking.

Well I'm glad I didn't hold out for the HR-5000, hasn't been in stock all year and now I can't even find it on their new website.

That's what I'm currently leaning towards. I know you had complaints about Titan's UHMW being on the soft side, but the knurling near the bar hooks on my OBX-20kg was flattened out by it's previous owner.

I'd be modifying them to fit 3x4 uprights, so I was hoping REP would go with the dual ear design so I could trim the main pin and have the ears extended.
