The Manhattan Project was kept secret for 5 years during a war with unparalleled security at a secret site. Media at that time was highly centralized and voluntarily agreed to a gag order. https://news.google.com/newspapers?i...1159%2C1605869. The moon landing "conspiracy" would be over an order of magnitude longer, involved NASA, filmmakers, and would have had to survive despite the absence of a gag order and media decentralization. And there would have been no wartime security.
The two are not even remotely comparable.
With respect to your substantive argument, I've bolded the important part. You're not an expert. I'm also not an expert. But I'm not challenging conventional wisdom and the large body of evidence supporting conventional wisdom.Take it easy Christian

For me I wouldnt say it’s the “only” one, there are some other historical events I think are questionable. But Im not a typical conspiracy theorist, dont believe in aliens or mind-controlling fluoride in the water etc. But I find the moon landing narrative highly suspect.
If I had to bet my life on whether it was true or not Id be in a real conondrum.

There are groups of people who simply deny the credibility of any major event simply because they did not personally experience the event. This falls into that category -- truthers/flat earthers/holocaust deniers etc.

I don't see how anyone can take this conspiracy theory seriously.
The decade long funding for a moonshot created whole new technologies. We have that technologies today. There was no reason to create many of them originally, other than their use in space. It's only after it's primary functions were fulfilled that we found uses on Earth.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...ion-nasa-spen/
^ Just one of many examples. I was going to link to specific progress in semiconductors and logic devices as the most important new technology to come out of the space race, but then I remembered about the pens and knew it would be quicker to just post that as an example.
PS - You might be tempted to argue that we pursued a trip to the moon for years and thus spent money on technology, but it wasn't until the end when we knew we would fail that alternate plans for faking ALL of the moon landings were made, but we have a treasure trove of photos of the earth from the moon and at all distances between the two, not to mention photos showing the moon, long before CGI existed.

Yeah but the people who hold the theory in high regard are going to fall for whatever occupies their time. It would just be something else anyways. At least they got neutralized with "flat earth theory" instead of something more dangerous.
I've got a theory of my own where these conspiracies are developed so that people waste time on them instead of paying attention to important issues lol. But really, the people that care about these things probably weren't contributing well to society, so maybe it's just best for everyone if we just distract them with chemtrails and gay frogs.Boycott foodservice industry crew

I voted yes because if americans hadn't landed to the moon and had they faked it, the russians would've called them out on it

The Cold War was a war of a different type but it was still a war. The Manhattan Project didn't happen in just 1 secret site. My questions were about how they got the astronauts back. Another poster responded that the landing craft blasted off the moon and re-docked with the main ship that was orbiting the moon. This was no problem because they didn't need much propulsion to launch several astronauts in a spacecraft back to the ship. As if the ship would just be hovering off the surface of the moon. Read that out loud and tell me that doesn't sound completely ridiculous.
I'm not saying I know for sure they did or didn't do it but it would be an unbelievably difficult thing to do even with today's technology. I provided an example of a massive undertaking that was kept a secret and your response is "yeah that was different. No way they could ever do something like that in this case"

We went because all the credible sources believe we did. It's only conspiracy theorists that believe we didn't. Also Russia didn't argue against it.
The moon is only like 238,000 miles away which is only about 10x further than the earth's circumference. It's not like they traveled to a distant planet lolPC specs

Previous Apollo missions were test runs for Apollo 11. Problems were discovered and worked out. Some issues involved risk, which is why Nixon had prepared a statement to be read to the nation in case the lunar lander missed reconnecting to the capsule, or any other catastrophic failure occurred.
Details of how the 2-part lunar landing solution came about and how it worked can be found here (I think):

Did we land on the Moon?
Did we orbit the Moon?
Have human beings been to low earth orbit?
Are there satellites in low earth orbit?
Is there a stratosphere?
How high do weather balloons go before they pop?
Is the record altitude for manned aircraft a hoax?
Do planes actually fly, or are we being tricked?
You think that's air you're breathing?

BTW, although we don't have any telescopes with enough resolution to directly see NASA debris left on the moon from the Earth, or even from Hubble, we can see these from satellites orbiting the moon. Here are some photos from the LRO taken several years ago.

Lunar tracks and footprints will remain on the moon until impacts from meteorites and such in the near vicinity kick up enough moon dust to obscure them, which may take a couple of million years."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden
