Hi, I've been doing my new routine for almost a week now and I want to post a question to see if I'm overtraining. Not sure why as I certainly won't listen to any advice whatsoever and I'm likely to get hostile if anyone posts a sensible question.
Here's the obligatory list of random body parts I train; arms, in front, behind, the side thing, thumb, french press, biceps short head, biceps long head, BOR, but not sure about legs though I might start on that next week
I usually do sets of 12 for some, but others up to 15, unless I need strength then I do up to 5
I take BCAAs weekdays and a shake.
Do you think the reps have too much volume? or should I just superset it

What bodyparts do you work on what days? How many sets and how many reps per each set? I cannot do the poll until we know more.
I also do not believe you are over-training. Preliminary guess is that if your training only after a week is exhausting you, there is nothing wrong with that.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

I have found that you almost need to write that you are kidding or joking or being sarcastic. Alot of my attempts at humor hear have been taken literally. I think some have done it on purpose, BUT I realize that the written word, without personal delivery, falls flat and leaves itself open to all kinds of interpretations...and I get that.
As to your original question...I dunno!Envy is ignorance. Imitation is suicide.

If you're not using full range of motion and coming to a full stop at the top and bottom of the rep you are wasting your time, OP. And squeeze and hold the contraction for at least 3 seconds. Cut those calories in half because your body converts fat to muscle, and you eating too much is keeping your metabolism too high.

You're 6'9" @ 375lbs. People take you seriously. Best to have a disclaimer here on out.
A lot of us have that problem. I've been considering therapy.
Finally, a serious post. Just to add to Charles' most brilliant post: Eating only meat for 4 months enhances muscle fibrahs 40% or thereabouts.
My work here is done - for tonight.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

I was once told about humour... that the only thing worse than explaining your jokes afterwards, is telling jokes that need to be explained afterwards.
Oh well, I've learned 2 things. Most obviously that I don't have the talents of a successful comedy writer. But secondly, if a post like the one I made could've been taken seriously in any shape or form: the genuine posts must be even worse than I'd realised.Last edited by OldFartTom; 09-29-2018 at 01:13 AM.

I once got in big, big trouble at work from trying to be funny. Maybe it was more than once.
But this time in particular, the company had finally grown large enough to where the CEO decided it should have a company-wide monthly newsletter. We needed to come up with a name for it, so of course they formed a committee to take proposals and then have everybody vote on the best one. About a week later, an email came down announcing what the newsletter's name was going to be. The committee had been bypassed, and there were several people that were very (maybe excessively) upset about it. So, the cynic in me was triggered.
"Meh, just call it 'The Autocrat' and be done with it", was my response, sent company-wide, of course.
The actual Autocrat, the CEO, who had selected the name himself, was slightly less than pleased with me.
My wife laughed, but I think she was the only one.“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
