I want to travel but don't know where to start. How do you travel when you have work? Is it a matter of waiting and then traveling for a week? A week doesn't seem like much at all sadly.
I wish there was a job where you could work 10 months and have 2 off. I'm in the construction industry, will have to do some research

Yeah kids would make it much harder, even with just a dog you've gotta make sure to have someone to watch it.
Instead of thinking week long think of taking off a friday and doing a 3 day trip, or a Thurs and Fri and make it a 4 day trip. I prefer doing short trips all the time rather than blowing it all on a few bigger trips.
Thanks brah

mirin hard. You take all those? Can you provide locations?
Also, you shoot those with a DSLR and Edit them too? I’d like to take pics like that but am a simple kind of man and am not interested in getting the white balance, aperture, shutter speed and the rest of the chit right and then hours behind a screen editing them just to get a pic that I can find on google. How long have you been shooting and how much time would you say you invest in each picture both at the time of taking it and at editing?Make Misc Great Again

I travel with my girl so....
Not sure if srs. People who think you have to travel internationally to see cool stuff are about as low iq as it gets.
You shouldn't travel to find yourself, find happiness, etc. You should do it because seeing epic sht is cool as fuk. Seeing certain things can leave you in awe and be humbling, especially when it comes to epic nature in places like Yosemite, Zion, etc.535 deadlift.

To the 2 above, LOL at you. So much amazing stuff to see domestically. If you aren't trying to see these places you are missing out.
Yeah happy to provide locations for anything if there are some in particular.
Shoot with a Fuji XT1 and various lenses. Edit almost exclusively on Lightroom mobile, desktop occasionally. You get an edit flow down and can do it quick. You should research selective edits (gradients, brushes), S curves, and then learn about how to maximize lights and shadows.
Been shooting maybe 10 years?535 deadlift.

Yeah you take pretty GOAT photography WattsBrah
Where is this BTW?
I personally like more nature trips and unlike a lot of traveling guys you actually travel to places around you within the US. I've been to about half of the US myself thus far and want to go to all 50 + been to Ontario (Thousand Islands is GOAT) and Quebec.
Nothing wrong with traveling in general and going out the country (I have been to Europe) but people who do it in excess to 'find something' I think it is silly and a waste of time. You're career oriented and have your **** together so why not enjoy yourself?
I think I'm going to try and make a weekend trip to Big Bend soon but I'd like to go to Zion some time this year or next.A hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

There's no problem with traveling if you have your chit together, I think the misc likes to rag on the "19 year olds" taking leap years away from college to "find themselves" and do stupid chit like try to sneak into North Korea or go to Thailand, run out of money, and have to bum their way back to the States.

Thanks bro, this pic was in Shiprock, NM. That rock along with the fin are mind boggling in person. The fin you see on the ground is volcanic rock pushed up out of the ground from seismic activity a VERY long time ago and this rock is one of the most important things to the Navajo, they believe their people were brought here to the top of that rock actually. Its taller than most skyscrapers, very cool stuff.535 deadlift.

There's amazing places within US and North America you can find. You can find almost every climate zone and environment without going outside of the US srs. A lot of people underestimate that. Having been to Yosemite, Antelope Canyon, Moab, etc you will see a lot of Europeans and Asians that travel to see our sights.
The world is vast but a lot of people believe you need to go on an ADVENTURE in some foreign land but don't even look at their own back yard.
WOW awesome. I'm a geology buff so this sort of stuff blows my mind. I have only been through the northeast part of NM in Raton Pass but haven't checked out all of NM.
I'm assuming you're a huge Ansel Adams fan.A hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /
