22years.
Last 2 years was probable worst years of my life , shoulder injury FOR 1,5 YEARS [ALL START HERE im 95% recover but still unhappy, wtf?], dont study anyting , no new people , only 2-3 friends , toxic/negative people around me (****ty parents ofc) and oh my god , only feel 100% working out because i forget everything.
Is pretty creepy , maybe i have 0 reasons to stay unhappy and i feel like this. Why? Last months have a improvement and start to feeling good but not 100% (always overthinking things etc..) WTF are happening in my head? is like'' i can be happy but i cant''
Im thinking about antidepresant helps a little to get on track of my life.(OVERTHINKING)

See a doctor man. I know some of those pills make people do loopy things. My sis was on them for a while and she would act really weird and forget the schit she did. It can make you a different person, maybe not for the better.

hell no dude. it ruined my life and my perception. worst thing i ever did in my entire life srs. now i get migraines around 3 times a week. i have to get CT scans and see a neurologist because of the damage antidepressants did.
it makes you feel worse, because you KNOW that what you're feeling (antidepressants) is not you. you can feel it changing your emotions. it's not natural. There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

Go do cardio 4 times a week for the next 3 months, pushing yourself to your limits whether it's running, cycling etc. Report back.
Or go on drugs like a house wife to solve your problem.

Antidepressants work (and really work) when you have a diagnosed depression.
When you don't, there can be a gillion things wrong with you. Go see your doctor6'4 200

From your post sounds like you are functional and not suicidal. Anti-depressant aren't where I would start.
- see a doctor to check for any physical cause...check up and lab work
- going hard at cardio a few times a week can actually help and if working out is the one time you feel good then definitely try it
- how is your sleep? quite important
- self-help or working with a therapist because it may be your pattern of thinking, not some chemical thing going on in your brain
Still stuck? Anti-depressants work for some people sometimes, but AFAIK they all have side effects of some kind and you might have to try a few different ones to find one that helps you. Even then they usually don't work forever and people have to wean off them/try something else. From what I've read most are only somewhat more effective than a placebo and I think that "somewhat better" may be about people that are truly depressed on some kind of biological level vs. feeling down due to situational stress or ingrained maladaptive thinking patterns.INTP Crew

It's hard, and not sure if possible 100% of the time...but you can control your own thinking. It takes conscious effort, and some time to train yourself. Not every moment of every day is going to be peachy, that's just life.
A lot of it is legitimately 'acting' - from the famous Dale Carnegie book 'How to Win Friends And Influence People', the #1 thing I took away was 'Act enthusiastic and you will BE enthusiastic'. It feels phony as phuck at first, but most people would legit rather interact with a smiling happy person. Watch, some people hate happy people and make it their life's mission to bring you down, just ignore/get away/avoid that ****. Pretty soon it becomes habit and a more ingrained part of who you are.
Positive self talk. Everyone can do it, most people don't. Even put some reminders where you will see them frequently, on mirror, on desk, in wallet, whatever.
Also easy to get away from the habit, I let life beat me down some, and it took some time before I could get back to it. So, for me it hasn't been flawless, but I did this 35 years ago, and 25 of the intervening years have been great, a couple down, and a few I shoulda been better. Not a bad ratio for an uneducated working man, who always managed to rise way above station, in jobs and wife.6’ 185 no idea how to edit profile

Nah don't dude if you can help it, they become a crutch and you don't think you can feel good without them, also some studies have cited that exercise is more effective than antidepressants.
If you don't feel like its brought on by your situation id consider getting bloods checked to rule out other causes, from time spent in A and E saw some attempted suicides come in and bloods always get done, especially checking for calcium levels. A lot of potential medical causes for feeling depressed
keep strong man and realise this is temporary and despite if you can't see it at the moment, you WILL make it out, 'if you're going through hell keep going'

Anti-depressants are dangerous srs (no conspiracy)
I’m currently going through a rough patch myself, hard to get out of bed some days, still do though, will never take them unless absolutely necessary. Usually they make you feel 10x worse during the first few weeks, and then you get hooked on them so when you quit you can get depression from withdrawal that will stick with you even after the withdrawal phase is over
What’s your sleep quality and schedule like?
Do you have hobbies?
Socialize?
Do you get enough sun?
Good diet with necessary vitamins and minerals?

Sounds like you have no goals and aren't even attempting to become an independent adult and it is making you unhappy. Try doing something with your life. You will be amazed at the change.

Anti depressants are a placebo in my opinion.
I would say give them a try though, since the placebo effect is immensely powerful.fist yourself

Brah, do yourself a favour and grab this book on Audible: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...st-connections (You get a free credit when you create an Audible account).
It's a very eye-opening and useful mental health book in which the writer found (amongst other things):
1. Chemical antidepressants are not very effective at all, and many pharmaceutical companies produce intellectually dishonest info about their products
2. Antidepressants do not have to be chemical - there are many other proven ways to break free from depression and anxiety and you can start putting them into practice today
I'll PM you a summary but I still strongly recommend reading the whole thing

Don't think it's really a useful exercise to compare experiences of other people on this particular topic. The experiences range from working really well, to not working, to people who don't need it being prescribed, to horror stories of bad side effects. The key is to find the right mental health professional to diagnose you correctly and provide medication only if necessary and without over-prescribing .
Possibly more important than that is committing to therapy in conjunction with medication. In most cases, though not all, a chemical imbalance is not the whole story and taking medication doesn't fully address your issues. Even if you have a case of chemical imbalance and not mostly mental issues related to trauma or other problems, your brain has rewired itself over the years and you have formed habits that are based on the negative side effects of a chemical imbalance. Simply taking a chemical to counteract does not suddenly change your behavior and mentality back to a healthy state. You have to have therapy in addition to medication to have a chance of the treatment working effectively, please don't overlook this crucial step. Good luck mane.*** Dawn Patrol Crew ***

As others have said, tread lightly OP and make damn sure you need them by getting a good diagnoses. They are very powerful and can change how your brain works long term srs. I hate how theyre thrown at everyone nowadays, they should be a last resort unless youre deeply depressed. Messing with brain chemistry is srs business

Go for it
i warn you though the first week maybe 2 are gonna be hell. Constant headaches and no end of negative feeling and you will genuinely consider suicide.
id advise start taking them when you get holiday so you arent around other people during that period coz they'll notice.
and as above it's hard to cum lol
