Funny enough a lot of the reason why gun charges aren't more severe is because of politicians afraid of offending the black community.

There was a law up in Baltimore City that would create mandatory prison sentences for illegal gun possession. The city council said no because it would put too many young black men in prison since they're the majority with illegal guns. But they're ok with them killing young black men.

What never gets mentioned about mass shootings is that no one really ever gets punished for them. Even the ones who get caught get treated very well. For example, the Batman shooter pretty much lives a life of luxury. Mass shooters and serial killers are treated VERY well in prison.

And 90%+ of the time the family members of the shooter defends the shooter and shows no regard for the victims. I wish we could charge them too tbh.
