Idk. I've been bit by dogs twice in my life. Once was a pit and the other was a catahoula mix. The pit was hurt and defending his property and it was just a bite and run, so I wasn't even mad at him. The other one just came outta nowhere and bit down on my arm like an *******.
My neighbors have a pit mix rescue that has tried to rip me apart on a few separate occasions. He has this very deep growl, pins his ears back, and tries to rip his owners arm off to get at me. They keep saying, oh he just needs to be around you more. Nah fam, I'm good on ya'll.
A buddy in college had a pit that I could literally throw around the house and play with and he would play bite, never bit down, and I had no issues. I've never owned one, so after that I started to think it may have something to do with the owner, but that's because the owner has to work hard due to aggressive nature of the dog. It's not like it's a pug or a beagle.
Oh well. I'm allergic to them so I won't be getting one anytime soon, but I love a cute pupper as much as the next guy.

If it's another person's dog, the dog can't be trusted. 9/10 dog owners are irresponsible scum of the earth and should be in jail and the dogs usually should be put down. The higher number of dogs near me, the more likely I'm going to be packing a blade at all times when outside the house. I only met one pit bull in my entire life that was civilized, it was a pit / akita mix and was one of the best trained dogs I've ever encountered and the owner was a class act, every other pit bull and most every other dog, for that matter, would probably end up knifed. In fact, I can probably count on one hand the number of dogs I've encountered that were properly trained by responsible owners. I also met an Ovcharka before too and if you think pit bulls are bad, stay away from these dogs. Ovcharka dogs are real pieces of shyt and you're going to need more than a knife to defend yourself from one. Regardless if the owner is not around when any one of these larger dogs/attack dogs (Rotties, GS, Corso, Pit, whatever) are encountered, then there is danger present.AP5 / PRO-Fap

A neighbor whom shares the fence in my back yard has a black pitbul and this ****er is so aggressive that it tries to break through the 8' high fence and get to my golden retrievers. The owner of said dog always apologizes but damn his dog is vicious. There is no reason for a family dog to be that unnecessarily aggressive.

Horses and cows together are responsible for roughly 40 deaths per year in the US. Ban horses and cows.
Falling coconuts also kill almost 4 times as many people a year as all dogs, let alone pitbulls.
But this is the new and exciting thing to be mad at and thump your chest for, so rock on."The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed."

I got him as a puppy and we immediately starting taking him to dog parks, on walks where he saw many people and dog daycare. The goal was to get him to see like 250-300 dogs and 1000 people in his first year. He loves everyone now and plays well with all dogs and my cats. He is a terrible watch dog because he just wags his tail...which is why I have a gun.

Mine is the same way. In regards of a watch dog he might scare people off with his bark but as soon as he sees a person he goes back into insta happy mode. One of the reasons why I love the breed so much is cause they turn into such sweet animals yet they still get a bad rep. I still haven’t met a mean one yet.

My doges.
The pup is a Pit/Lab, the older bull was supposed to be Pit, but pretty tall. The most tolerant two dogs I have ever known.

I've only had positive experience with pits and pit mixes.
I'd have to see stats but I feel like they're not much worse than other dogs and it's obviously an issue of size and bite force. My Chorkie has bit me a dozen times but she's too small to do anything. My friend had a Rott that bit his son once and he mogged the doge so bad that he cowers anytime he raises his voice. Gotta teach dogs who is the boss.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

I am not a fan of small dogs. Yappy little ankle biters.
Ban coconuts!
This is great advice. One thing I will say is dog parks are not always a good idea. Get one idiot owner with a dog that isn't well socialized and it could turn your pupper dog reactive or fear aggressive towards other dogs. If you know people with well socialized dogs, it's best to do playdates with them.
Being in bully breed rescue for years, I've met tons of pit bulls that have come from all kinds of backgrounds. From fighting rings to being starved almost to death to family dogs being surrendered for various reasons. I've not been bitten once.

Stereotypes? What, set by a bunch of *******s online lol...Jesus. No one irl thinks this way.
They go “Hey, you lift weights as a means of socialization and to stay fit...that’s great.” “You rescued a dog...nice.”
And the height thing is just some bullchit a group of you nerds came up with...it’s not a real thing. Any other aspects of my life you want to talk about? Lol
