she told me to modify stringlifts 5x5 by doing :. workout A: squat 5x5, B: bench press 5x5, overhead press 5x, C: deadlift 5x, row 5x5. and to do pushups 10x pullups 10x every day for a week, adding 1 rep every week.
im basically a beginner strength-wise, but doesn't the weekly volume seem too low? i did fierce 5 before with no issues.
thanks for any advice

What ever you do, dont pay for that advice.

Generally yes but if the man is overweight ...then running the program on a deficit is fine. Definitley don't bulk if you're already overweight. Either maintenance or a small deficit.
If you're underweight then maintenance or small surplus.
I tend to take long breaks from training like 1-2 years and I get fat when I do. I tend to run sl when I come back in a deficit and I can lose weight and put on muscle at the same time.
