I squat and dl in dl slippers. Hate wearing shoes for either of those lifts.

I always deadlift and squat without shoes on. Wearing running shoes to squat and deadlift in can be detrimental to your ankle. Using a lifting shoe while squatting brings your heel up and lets you achieve the proper range or motion without coming up on your toes, essentially it helps people drive with their heels. Using a lifting shoe with a raised heel can also help a lot when learning ATG squats.

Using the board is a great way to ease your way into ATG squats if your ROM isn't on par. Legends. Arnold also lifted without shoes quite a bit too. Chuck Taylors+two by four=40 bux. Lifting shoes=too ****ing expensive!

Squat lover I actually feel your correct. I notice I squat way better barefoot it activates all the muscles in your feet. We are ment to squat barefoot.
