Today I made a reference to Laverne & Shirley to some young adults (probably in their 20s). When they had no idea what I was talking about, I said, “It was a spin-off of Happy Days”. Still blank looks, then I said, “You know, The Fonz…AAAY!”
They had no idea who the Fonz was!? What has happened to the world! I thought The Fonz would be the eternal definition of Cool! I mean, that’s like not knowing who Arnold Schwarzenegger is (and the fact that “Schwarzenegger” is in my spell checker is a little frightening).

My Mom said that chicks in that generation hated the guys like that and the show was silly for making gals flock to him.
At any rate the hairstyle is very much in vogue, with a little fade here and there, my Son sports it. Recently I saw a kid maybe 20 years old with the full haircut full of pomade, motorcycle boots and leather jacket. He was an exquisite tribute to the Fonz, just walking to class. I have hope for this generation after all.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

I've always liked Henry Winkler better than I liked the Fonz.
I know the feeling, though. I always thought the Beatles would last forever, and that the world would spend the next few centuries angry with Yoko Ono.“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”

Once my colleague said "Perfectomundo!" in the office. Somebody said, "Do you speak Italian?" and she replied, "No, that's Fonzarelli." I think only she and I got the joke.
No drama: You know where we are.

I tried as best as I could to be fap loyal to Olivia Newton-John... that all ended in the 90's when Kathy Ireland came on to the scene.
Through it all, though the "hottest" women may have changed, the epitome and definition of cool never did.
Da Fonz. He represented coolness before my time and will be thus long after. premature RIP's too Henry Winkler.A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.

Linda Evans, who John Derek left for Bo when she was just 16, looked remarkably like her in her youth.
You may think John Derek was one of the coolest dudes ever, but as a 46 year old man leaving his wife for a 16-year old high school dropout, I'd have to call that a Roy Moore-quality case of child molestation. He's aboout 1 step above Roman Polanski and Woody Allen, basically.“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
