Got moved to a new team at my job last month. Last team i worked with in the business was awesome, we were all great friends in the work place and out.
New team seems a bit square, but hey it happens. I know to be reserved and not say any crazy **** because of PC culture, and don't qant to get Harvey Weinsteined.
There are like 5 other dudes on my small team, and they all seemed pretty chill. All around the same age. We all grabbed beers and shot the **** after work maybe 2 times.
I am leaving work the other day, and I need to update a clients file, I sent an attachment to one of my team mates and ask him to import it.
He replies back "There was nothing attached"
I reply back, with the attachments and say
"I love it when you talk dirty"
Stupid, harmless filler joke to maybe get an lol on a Friday Doesnt even make sense in context
I walk in today and get called in by our HR person, and two people from the leadership team and am made aware of a complaint filed against me for making someone feel uncomfortable in the work place, in a sexual manner. They said "did you send someone an email saying you like it when they talk dirty to you." My jaw dropped, wtf.
What. The. ****.
They hit me all this PC bs, they are going to pull al of my email logs, do a peer review, going the full marathon.
This guy is 5 years older than me, 75 pounds heavier, and sits RIGHT NEXT TO ME at work, and he has the audacity to do this. This dude thought this was enough of as light to jeopardize my job. I cannot think of a bigger b*** move.
Venting a bit. Just gonna let it ride out, but I cant wait to make work super awkward for this guy.

Man that's lame. All guys I work with have worked together for 10+ years and we're always making ******* jokes. We would be a HR nightmare. Heck we always make sure to lock our PCs because if our manager walks by he will send IM's from my PC to other employees lol.

One benefit of working in the oil field was that kind of chit never happened since douchecucks avoid that kind of work.
Although, I'd never put something like that in an email unless the other person is also a friend outside of work."There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle." -Gym Jones

Personally I'm tired of *******s unwanted sexual innuendo towards me being excused under the guise of "hey it's just a joke"
Brb homoerotic flirt "Just a joke"
Brb slapping my ass "just a joke"
Brb just looking at your cock at the urinal "just a joke bro"
Brb sucking my cock a little while I'm sleeping "just a joke "
What happen to when a man would be upfront about his sexuality and give you a hard pounding in the men's bathroom, no phuckinh around with Mikey mouse romance. Glad I reported u *******

If you forgot to attach files to your original e-mail, it means he was pointing out that fact with his e-mail. Where in the hell does "dirty talk" enter, here?
If someone wrote that to me at work I wouldn't report him. If he was a very good friend of mine I'd say "what?" if he was not, I'd say "don't write that chit to me again." It's that simple.

Your comment made no sense so I don't know why you sent it. And given this guy is an astronomical b1tch how did you not realise it would be a dumb thing? I hope you keep your job but maybe look changing jobs to a less toxic workplace
HR are either one of two things - a) they are seriously over the top PC or b) they only care about placating employees who complain about sensitive topics while avoiding bad publicity and lawsuits.
