Reminds me of my mom who used to try and hold doing our laundry over our heads as if doing laundry doesn't consist of 5 minutes of loading clothes in machines and 10 minutes of folding clothes once they're dry.

She actually thought she deserved "work credit" if you will, for the 1 hour or so that the washer and dryer were doing work while she was lounging around watching TV or whatever.

Have to agree here. My mom did this **** with me too. I got tired of it and was doing my own laundry and cooking mostly for myself by age 15ish. Now I make damn good money running a business and working 70 hour weeks and I still have time to keep my house tidy. The yard is a bitch in the summer, I gotta admit, but it's still doable.
