for my muscles it´s still the same recovery time from my 30´s to my mid 50`2 now. But i Train with a higher-rep-range, and skiped some exercises which are the jioint and tendom-Killers from my workout schedule.
6 "3" 260 lbs. mid 50....still love this sport.... go and do something for yourself, not for others....it´s your life, your health, you only get one, take care, and when you see results the fun to work out will be greater with time....but it´s all about small steps...fast results you can loose fast...steady and slow results last much longer. So take your Sport bag, and enjoy your workouts, and the Feeling when you finished a good workout.

Am I the only guy who felt tired and lethergic most of his 20s, and relatively strong/competent in his 30s?
I wasn't even overweight, if anything I was underweight back then. But when you don't live as you were designed, you tend not to feel fully human either.
That said, I do hear that things slow down in the late 30s
