We've come full circle.
As a kid I would run to the store with my grandpa. The cashier knew his name when we entered. We would grab a few things and we would just walk out. Thought it was amazing getting anything you wanted for free. What I didn't know at the time was the clerk kept an eye on you as you bought and wrote it down on your account sheet while you shopped. At the end of the month he sent my grandpa a bill.
I welcome this. I spend 10x more time waiting in line to buy beer / wine then I spend shopping for it.

Makes sense. The worse part about shopping is the checkout. Every time I am standing in line all I can think is "there has to be a better way". For instance, I love going to Costco, but hate having to check out, kind of ruins the whole thing because it's always a madhouse at that part.
That article, that Hillary supporter ancient hipster whatever it is, is why I voted for Trump. Can she not have to pose for her pics with some exuberant expressions for every pic, or is she/he/it really that eccentric?

just lmao at your naivity and how easily fooled you all are.“Sometimes when I'm faced with an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve, and when we have finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook.”

Anyways, it doesn't seem like you can steal easily from this store, as they said it tracks your every move with tons of cameras.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

The whole thing is automated - you have to scan yourself in, so they have your account on file. Your stuff is tracked by camera and loaded to your account's cart.
Sure you could make a trip and use a fake CC on your account and get a trip for free, but even using multiple accounts they'll recognize you when you enter.Boomer Rep Crew #1

It's not just cameras. Items also have RFID tags so they're added to your purchase the moment you take them off the shelves. I believe you have to pass through turnstiles to enter and exit, so unless you have an account with a valid credit card you can't enter.
My guess is they probably do a pre-authorization like gas stations and restaurants do, and will alert you before you try to leave that you've exceeded your limit so you don't trigger alarms as you exit.E Pluribus Unum

To be fair, a lot of businesses have a non-confrontation policy for theft with regards to their employees too. I worked in loss prevention at a retail store once, we weren’t even supposed to stop people if we thought/knew they were trying to shoplift. Doesn’t make much sense, right?
Then I worked at a large liquor store in Boulder, CO. My boss was a former golden gloves boxer and gave zero fukks, we would legit tackle thieves and zip tie them before they were 86’d while the police were on their way. Now that’s how it’s done imo.Firefighter/EMT-B
