Actually, its just the powdered version of whey. Which is the derived from curdling milk. Its an extract of milk.
My grandma would feed her kids and grandkids kids a cup of whey along with breakfast everyday....and before bed too.

OP is wrong.
Whey is the byproduct of cheese production that sinks to the bottom of the vat while the curds (cheese) float to the top. The whey is then dried, processed and flavor is mixed in, then packaged and shipped out.
However, I DO agree with OP, that if your sups are anything but Dat Dere... your looking at marginal if any improvements over just eating food. SRSOutdoors brah is a purely fictitious persona.
