Opinions on military diet

I’ve been through three weeks of it and lost a good 20 pounds I don’t feel any different but people say they see it. I need an opinion on if the military diet actually helps lose fat, from someone that knows what they’re doing because I know a little bit of the weight loss stuff but not much. Thank you������
