    Question regarding sugar intake

Hey there. So recently I've began tracking the foods I eat, including tracking protein, carbs, sodium and potassium intake.I also thought about tracking sugar intake and I've read a lot about the difference between added and natural sugars so I wonder if I should only be tracking added sugars or also track natural sugars, and if so how much natural sugar would be a max or min for daily intake. Thanks in advance.

just need to track carbs/prot/fat imo...

unless you're doing a specialty diet as keto, is when you'd want the sodium/potassium/calcium

No real max for natural sugars assuming you keep moderation in mind, but added sugars should be kept to 10% or less of total caloric intake for the day.

Thanks for the replies.Yeah I'm tracking potassium and sodium cause I've been feeling really fatigued for the past 2 weeks, turns out my potassium levels are too low and I'm eating way too much sodium. In any case I won't track natural sugars then,ty for the help.

Only added sugars, but mainly fructose (while keeping in mind 1/2 of sucrose (table sugar) is also fructose), is what matters.

I generally range between 60-150 grams of total sugars per day, but it's almost entirely natural sugars from veggies/fruits.

Meeting your macros with primarily whole and minimally processed food will take care of things on its own without having to keep tabs on sugar intake. That's the beauty of it.

The recommendation to reduce added sugars is for the purpose of discouraging consumption of processed foods.
