Do the standards at the above link seem "right"?
They seem low to me. As in I'm ranking higher than it seems I should, and I see guys in my gym that are at or above the elite level.

I swear each an every time this chart is posted the descriptions of the bins and
Tables for the basic barbell exercises are based on nearly 70 years of accumulated performance data and are not predicted or regression derived. These performance standards should not to be confused with strength norms.☻/

The purpose of strength standards charts is so that people can share them while saying, "But I can do that, and I'm not that strong."
We haven't had a humblebrag thread for a while, enjoy yourselves.
Alternately, for a better picture of where you are, go here and look up the world records for your age and weight class. Now figure out what percentage you're at - that assumes you've done it in an IPF-affiliated competition, of course, nobody cares about the other ones, still less about gym lifts.

Thanks a lot for this.
It's good for me to see that I'm at roughly 33% - more on the deadlift but worse on the bench press. I take your point that nobody cares about gym lifts but the numbers I have in my mind represent the slow/realistic progression, not a 1x lift (i.e., I can do a 110kg deadlift for reps, and I assume that my max is still 110kg, not extrapolate that in my 33% number above).
A question about age classes, I'm 37 and it seems I would have to lift in the 'open' category - and this applies from 24-39 or so - because the age limits for categories look like this (men):
Age Categories
Men – Open: from the day he reaches 14 years and upwards (no category restrictions need apply).
Sub-Junior: from the day he reaches 14 years and throughout the full calendar year in which he reaches 18 years.
Junior: from 1 January in the calendar year he reaches 19 years and throughout the full calendar year in which
he reaches 23 years.
Master I: from 1 January in the calendar year he reaches 40 years and throughout the full calendar year in which
he reaches 49 years.
Master II: from 1 January in the calendar year he reaches 50 years and throughout the full calendar year in which
he reaches 59 years.
Master III: from 1 January in the calendar year he reaches 60 years and throughout the full calendar year in which
he reaches 69 years.
Master IV: from 1 January in the calendar year he reaches 70 years and upwards

Those standards are too low if we go by the measure of advanced trainees having 5+ years under their belt.
This one uses actual data from millions of lifters and seems more in line: http://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards

And then if looking at your squat/bench/deadlift as a fraction of the world record hasn't demolished your self-esteem, go check your snatch and clean & jerk as a fraction of the world record.
