How to get back into squatting after an injury?

Hey guys, soo i used to be able to squat 405 x 3, and then i had a disc bulge at work.

After lots of physio and massages, the daily pain is gone (1yr later). I squat now but going higher than 185 brings lower back pain along with it. I've had multiple people review my form and said its in check.

Think i can get back into it or are my squatting days over? Thanks!

I would consult with your physio or a sport doctor.

Stay optimistic and it isnt over till your dead. Focus on what you can do, not what you cant.

I suggest not doing anything that causes nerve pain. Nerves don't like being touched and will inflame making it worse. If you push it to the point of pain you pushed it to far.

    Keep seeing a back specialist.

    This.

Also, did you go straight to 185 or did you build up to it? If you went straight to 185 and it's causing pain, then go down. Go down to 3x5 with 95 or even the empty bar, then slowly build up each week.
