The garbage bag thing is used at my highschool all the time. Garbage bags under t-shirts and sweat pants with more hoodies/shirts on and another garbage bag over it all. I wasnt on the team but i remmeber my senior year i watched my cuz lose 5 lbs in like 3 hours it was insane but im sure it was terribly unhealthy.
No matter what you do its not gonna be good for you so talk to your coach if hes not an idiot who is also tryin to offer you steroids.

i would not recommend doing it, but in high school i did the trash bag thing quite a few times to make weight for wrestling. I know it is very unhealthy but it definately does work. In the beginning of the season I was always around 10-12 pounds over the weight i needed to be. I would wear a small t-shirt then a trash bag and sweat shirt over that and would easily lose 8 or more pounds in a two hour practice. I would then go home and lay in the bath with the hottest water i could stand and lose another two pounds in about 30 minutes.

if it's for weigh in, you want to do this the day of the weigh in:
Get one of those rubber sauna suits and go for an hour run. Shower and go directly to weigh in. Bring water(do not drink it before the weigh in) with you. After weighing in, REHYDRATE!
This is dangerous and should not be done, but if you need to drop weight, that's one way to go.
I've dropped 15lbs doing this.
If for the military, I thought they were doing the BF method as well now...so if you are overweight for a particular height and age, you can request the calipers method. Don't know though...been alotta years since I was in.NEVER SETTLE!!!
Three years ago I was 365lbs of lard. Never again! I like the heads turning toward me.

I would say go to walmart and pick up the SAUNA SUIT. Garbage bags are ok but air gets in. You want the seal at all ends. i wouldnt eat anything the day before, atleast not after mid-day. Suck it up, you'll be ok just have faith.Cardio cant be stressed enough wit the suit on. Even when you sit around the house, keep it on. Good luck.

Don't eat.. hit the sauna.. Sweat it out... don't drink anything.. But after you weigh in take some water with you.... Don't drink it all at once or you will just throw it up... Drink small amounts at a time

Very easy.
Get a sauna suit, sold at most retail stores in the sporting goods isle, and sit in a sauna.
UFC fighters do this all the time to lose weight.
Last show they had with those up and coming UFC fighters showed the one guy doing exactly that.
And you could always take something to make you **** as well lmao.

Yea I use to get a Sauna suit and use it to make weight for wrestlinge.. Go for a run wit Sauna suit on out esp if its cold out.. if u can break a sweat outside in the cold running immmediatly go into the gym/house or whereever u work out at and just sit on a bike pedaling.. The lbs will fall off.... Breaking a sweat in the cold and then going into a heated building and just peddlin a bike will keep that sweat going and goin

He needs to lose five pound for likely football weight limits. Basically if you don't make under the required weight for 8th grade and younger then you can not carry the ball unless your snapping the ball, or its accidental, like a fumble or interception. It could be football, but there are other sports and possibilities, but thats basically what it is.
