Some kids did this in Edmonton and kept it a secret for 4 years until someone was wrongly convicted

I initially wanted to defend them because kids can be insanely dumb. I did a ton of dumb stuff when I was really young (don't remember the age) like throw hard packed snowballs at driving cars..
these days I look back and obviously would never consider something like that, it's frustrating that I did that and wouldn't harm a fly these days.
But... then I read 5-20lb rocks, that's hard to excuse. That's looking for a hurt person, it's possible that somehow didn't cross their mind but they did want damage.
It also really sucks because most of those kids could have grown out of that to be a completely normal healthy happy adult, but instead their entire life will suck because they have something like manslaughter on the record. sh!tty on all ends.

It's like the old saying goes "you shouldn't throw stones if you can't do the time"
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.
That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.
At least it will thunderstorm tonight, and we know how they feel about water. :)
^^^Racist police officer who also cries about how racism doesn't exist, also cries reverse racism and typifies the stupidity of the racist right, referring to black people as "they" and regurgitating racist stereotypes.

And that's only amplified the younger you are. If I was the jury, it would be really, really hard for me to ruin the rest of their lives as punishment.
The crowd factor played a part here too. They probably egged each other on, combine that with being a child, there's a good chance it's just stupidity mixed with being immature. I don't know if I could sentence them.
I'd have to meet them, you could probably tell if the kids were evil or just really, really dumb kids.
edit: if they were 15-17 that changes it a little. If they were 11-14 or so.. that would be such a hard decision.

LOL at anyone defending this as just "kids being dumb." Kids have always been dumb and always will be but 99.9999999% also don't kill people whether by accident or not.
And double LOL at the "their lives shouldn't be ruined forever because of something they did so young" people. Phucking look at this guys 4 year old kid in the face when she's putting her dad in the ground and tell her that.
