Why pick Kwanzaa specifically here? It's been celebrated as the first African-American holiday for about 50 years. At least two generations have celebrated it their whole lives. At what point does it become a "real" holiday. Is Hanukkah a "fake" holiday in your mind? It goes back to the Old Testament. What about Jehovah's Witnesses? They don't celebrate Christmas at all. Does that make them "fake" Christians?
The point is, "Merry Christmas" respects some Christians. "Happy Holiday" respects everyone.
Who do you respect?

You missed the point entirely which is odd considering you restated my point in your own post.
Christmas and Hanukkah: thousands of years old.
Kwanzaa: Decades old imitation.
Since we are making things up tho I'll have my own holiday and if u don't recognize it you're a bigoted clown.
Speaking of bigoted clowns, u know the thread is done when Twerk4it and SillieBazzillie show up. I'm out.

Christmas is an important part of American tradition and culture, and I'm not even religious. It's important that we do not forget who we are, and it's important that we do not dilute ourselves by making widespread efforts to absorb and express foreign cultures. Same for Thanksgiving, Independence Day, etc.

Gotta give it to Trump.
He's realized he will have no actual legislative accomplishments, so instead he's just inserting himself into societal grievances.

Lol I called it. I knew the Culture War would go from the Battle of Kneeling Black to the Battle of Merry Christmas. God damnit I knew it!
Union Strong. Workers are stronger together.
The GOP is a criminal organization who despises the middle class and working poor. Name one policy they have pushed for that increased worker pay, union strength, or worker influence in a corporation.

Right. Don't forget that we are a nation built on religious freedom. People are free to express whatever they want, and truly nobody is being hurt by "Happy Holiday" and there's no threat to Christmas. Not when 70% of the nation identifies as Christian, and probably more than that celebrate the holiday.

Of course this nation was built on the idea of freedom. I wish more people on the left understood this so they'd stop trying to censor people and confiscate their property.
You can practice whatever religion you like in this country, but what I'm saying is that Christmas is part of our culture that I do not want to dilute. If you want your countrymen to make a big deal out of Ramadan, for example, then you are free to move to a Muslim majority country.

"Seventy-four percent of Americans identify with a Christian religion, and 5% identify with a non-Christian religion. The rest of the U.S. adult population, about 21%, either say they don't have a formal religious identity or don't give a response."

"...a large majority of Americans – roughly seven-in-ten – continue to identify with some branch of the Christian faith."
