Hello all, Recently I've been diganosed with Ulcerative ****tis and I'm trying to see what type of protien that adds/maintains a good bit of mass won't destroy my stomach? I use to use a protien that was specificlly made for mass gain, but that would destroy my stomach and have me on the toilet for days. Thank you all!

might want to consider an isolate such as Nutrabolics Hydropure

This is honestly going to be tough for anyone to suggest and it is truthfully going to come down to trial and error as only you will truly know what you can handle and what disrupts and causes you flare ups. You are going to have to try various forms, concentrates, isolates, pepto pro, humapro (EAAs), vegan, egg, etc. so see what cooperates with you. I have IBS so for me it has been a HUGE trial and error struggle.

I would personally think an isolate would be your best shot, but that's a guess and not from experience. They tend to be lighter on the GI system. Stick with a quality brand/product though. "Mass gainer" shakes are marketing hype. Just eat more kcals throughout the day. It's honestly going to come down to trial and error for you unfortunately.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

^This.
My friends with UC have had good experiences with natural/plant proteins. Wheys and blends, not so much. Then it was about 50/50 on if isolates set them off. So like Mike said, you'll unfortunately have to experiement a bit to see what disrupts your digestion.Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

If you’d like to try PEScience Vegan Select, shoot me a PM. It’ll be nice to see if it works without having to buy a whole tub.

Like I said, I have IBS and Gastroparesis, although not UC, it comes with a butt ton of jacked up gut issues and I have gone through a lot of various trial and errors. What sits best in order,
1. EAAs by far (I use Humapro for my EAAs, for some reason the tabs work better for me)
2. Egg Protein Powder/Vegan Protein (I do 1 scoop of each, they both sit equal)
3. Isolate Proteins (Gaspari Precision Protein & Dymatize ISO Ready To Drinks Clears)
***I would say I mostly rely on EAAs from Humapro as the majority of my protein intake as they are completely free of pretty much everything and basically already pre-digested and require no effort on my gut.….

I offer my sympathies, I have Crohn's disease and I know how difficult it can be.
I make no claims as to what products should be used with IBD as a medical condition but we are happy to send you some Select and Select Vegan samples to try out and see if either of those work for you.
Take kbayne up on the offer and send him your address.PEScience Representative

I recently got diagnosed with ulcerative ****tis too after a long year.... (yippy yo yay). Anywho I couldn't really stomach any protein shakes all year with it but my specialist has recently put me on a new medication called "Pentasa" and been on it a few weeks and boy oh boy can have anything now... Protein shakes, Quest bars, any amount of caffiene etc.. feel 100% again and can smash the gym again for hours no worries. If you're current meds aren't helping maybe ask about that one?
