I'm actually getting Doom and WWE 2K cause I'm very excited to play them on the go. The best games I played this year have been on the Switch (SPlatoon MP and Zelda).
But 2018 I can see belonging to Sony in terms of exclusives. We'll see.
Also the developer of Evil Within wants that on Switch asap. If it matters.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

The 1st party games are more difficult and deep than most M-rated multiplatform games. Srs. If you're a gamer, you like a good challenge, Switch is for you.
The first I liked a lot. The 2nd I will likely get upon price drop on PS4, unless it is coming to Switch as the developer is trying to get it on. Wolfenstein 2 on Switch and GTA and Skyrim...all big for Nintendo.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Switch in the near future crew. I've always supported Nintendo's consoles and will continue to do so. If we don't we're just left with cross platform, dull unoriginal games, with a few gems sprinkled into the Xbox or PS camp.
Whereas 99/100 first party Nintendo games are great. I already have a PC for the multiplatform games that I want to play at full graphics.

I'm A Sony Guy (and a Console Gamer) at heart, I prefer their exclusives and to play the multiplatform games on it. Didn't really get into Nintendo since Gamecube although I bought one for the new Punch-Out game because Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is one of my favorite games ever...but Switch has been a winner. A zelda that was not only on par with the GOAT Zelda games, but surpassed them was reason enough. All the other win the Switch has been full of is definitely reason to keep one long term beyond BoTW.

You named 1 game and nothing else, which is a meer a opinion. Not to mention op has nothing to back his silly argument
Nintendo is a bad company due to the simple fact of them holding gaming back. The video game industry is all about cutting edge tech and moving into the future. More tech means more things you can do as far as story, physics, and gameplay. Don't get me wrong, PS4 isn't super powerful, and power isn't everything, but they have been pushing boundaries and most importantly innovative. All of what you list about Nintendo, Sony has done so and more. I'm sure Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda are great, but after that the console falls flat. They don't even have VR. I congratulate them on getting more 3rd party, but the hardware still lags behind.
To state Nintendo is the best, is simple fanboyism. No innovation and stuck in the past.

I do want to play Zelda and I am a huge Metroid Prime fan but the rest? Doom, Skyrim, Wolfenstein will most certainly be downgraded versions (aren't all of them in 720p?), plus who hasn't played Skyrim to death by now?
Also, I raise you the new God of War which looks HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGG, Death Stranding (Kojima always delivers), Red Dead Redemption 2 (HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGG), Days Gone and Metro Exodus could both be killer, Cuphead, Anthem is looking juicy as fuark.

They're more difficult to beat, and to master than most of the "mature" games. Most on Xbox and PS4 are more pick up and play compared to Nintendo's games. Also from a completionist point of view...they're so much harder to finish. Like collecting every coin in Mario. Donkey Kong? So much harder than say um, God of War or Uncharted. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Switch is the best, it's not even my favorite this gen. And also, fwiw Nintendo has a lot more kiddy and dopey themes, but Switch is amazing to me. Nintendo as a whole manages to rehash many retro titles and keep them relevant and hot. THeir games often win GOTY awards with the same fat plumber and sword wielding elf eared-boys. I believe the Switch is not without any oversights or shortcomings. I'd like a trophy system similar to XBL achievements and PSN's trophies...they're always behind in that respect as well as graphically. That is correct, but nothing new and not the biggest hinderance to their success.

You named god of war and Uncharted as challenging contenders? Nioh, Dark souls, blood Bourne would have supported your argument better. Even then, You can always up the difficulty, so Mario being more challenging is irrelevant.(As to say Ps4 is casual when the switch is itself) I play all my games on the hardest difficulty, but the Story and Lore are what's most important, which Nintendo doesn't offer
I sat and watched Mario kart 8, Pokemon, hey that's what you enjoy, I'd much rather be playing Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many, many more soon to come.
Only game I can see myself playing on Nintendo is super Mario because I played the hell out of Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine.
Otherwise Deep Story + Graphics > Nostalgia. I guess you can say I'm more of a mature gamer and value realism with deep character development
One of the goat moments I had
