It's getting closer. Warframe open world concept, Plains of Eidolon will be released soonTM
What started as a 3rd person looter/shooter with space ninjas has been making huge changes. This game is a ton of fun. If you haven't tried it, its free to play (not pay to win). And if you've played it in the past, but haven't played for a year or more; it's a totally different game than you might remember.

"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

It's a great game and although it's free you basically will never enjoy it unless you spend some money or grind with friends who can help you by giving you stuff.
I haven't played much in about a year or so. They've changed everything so much I would nearly have to relearn the game.
I stopped playing when they took my endless t4 survivals away. Me and a buddy used to use the volt/amprex buff and sit there and roast enemies. I miss those days.throw out like 20 volt shields and it would buff the amprex crit damage into the millions and break the game.
Sad part is my account is a ****ing gold mine. When they still used gold cores I had about 2k gold cores. I don't know what they turned them into but now I have an ass load of that resource too. I was super end game with every char and mod in that game. Guess I just got bored. Took about 1000 hours and like 300 bucks worth of prime packages hehehehe. The trading scene was also a lot of fun tooSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Its a loot grind game. Co op with some slimmed down pvp.
Its way more intricate then any other loot and shoot. I mean you can build your characters in sooooooo many ways its not even funny.theres like infinite build and play styles. You can mod your character your guns your abilities I mean everything.
You can even hatch awesome dogs as companions like pets who will go into missions with you and **** enemies up.
Literally the only bad thing about it is since there's so much **** to do its got a steep learning curve.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

current pet companions are: dogs (Kubrow), cats (Kavats), and alien dog thing (Helminth)
traditional PVP in Warframe isn't all that popular, but there is Lunaro with is a soccer/quidditch type PVP
The 3 most recent warframes are really fun with interesting mechanics (Nidus, Octavia, Harrow)
the movement/parkour in the game is really great thoughGoals:

To use the frequent breakdown: It's like Destiny, but it's free. So if you were thinking about getting Destiny for the PC but you didn't like the beta... might as well try this because it's free.
I've only played a little bit (and of course today I keep getting an error that crashes at startup ), but it's so far a very impressive game. So much so that I actually felt strange when I first played, like, "I feel as though I should be paying for this type of game..." because it doesn't come off as a free to play game through the presentation and solid mechanics.
What actually convinced me to give it a shot was this lengthy but very detailed review:
You're basically playing as a futuristic warrior, who uses the titular "warframes" as a sort of biomechanical armor that affects your appearance, stats, and abilities. You start off with a sword for melee, an automatic rifle, and future-shurikens, which you can all modify or change out as you gain resources and levels, and if you watch the video above, you can see just how much faster paced the combat is compared to Destiny. I'd compare it more to Titanfall with the wall running, jumping, dashing, and sliding, all of which can be combined to do some really fun maneuvers in combat. The warframes themselves have a very interesting look that really does capture this "living armor" without feeling too garish. I also like some of Destiny's armor appearances, but there's also the side that looks like a Halo Spartan got lost in a cosplayer's closet, entered Narnia, watched every Game of Thrones season trailer, then remembered that's the wrong genre so they picked up some guns. Warframe has its own few ostentatious outfits, but they have a lot of badass ones as well; hell, even the female armor types are cool - the Banshee Prime warframe looks like a Warhammer 40k Eldar Howling Banshee!
Another comparison, or really, contrast that I'd draw is you get your own personal ship that can be completely customized (as can your armor and weapons), which acts as a sort of cozy homebase to launch missions, forge items, and go through your arsenal. From what I've done so far, you basically have a web of missions you can do on a planet, so in my case Earth as a starter, and you can repeat them or go down the various paths to different ones.
Unlike Destiny, the missions use procedural generation so you don't feel like you're going through the exact same levels time and again. While procedural generation can get a bad reputation, when done well and used appropriately, it's the perfect tool to alleviate tedium for a genre that needs constantly changing content. The looter shooter genre as a whole should really invest more into adding procedurally generated side content that would be repeated, be they dungeons, missions, quests, "adventures," or whatever else; I'm a big fan of Borderlands 2, but I'd kill for some procedurally generated side levels that let you roll through without knowing every nook, cranny, and spawn point by the third time.
The overall "worldbuilding" is something I haven't really delved into yet, but it seems very in-depth, and personally it struck a cord with me over Destiny. I really have to give the developers credit for trying to create their own unique vision for a sci-fi looter shooter/slasher, whereas every single, bloody time I try to give Destiny a shot, it just comes off as a Halo reskin - down to Bungie's infamously simplistic style of nomenclature (Halo = being hit over the head with bible references to name everything; Destiny = Basically Star Wars light vs dark, but with dancing)
Worth noting, petty as it might read, is that Warframe is an M rated game, so you actually get blood and dismemberment! Yeah, none of that bullchit Destiny Dayglo effect that flies out of everything's arse.
If you have a PC (or I think it's on PS4?), definitely give it a download to try because it's no cost and doesn't feel like some Clash of Clans F2P bollocks. Plus, it might even tide over any Destiny 2 curiosities/cravings while you're waiting for the one true version - although I'm personally put off by the overly-Teen nature of Destiny 2. How can you have a game all about bloody guns, but not have blood? That's fifty percent of the gun fun equation, missing!I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die

Not worried about a steep learning curve, but it sounds fun. When it comes to RPGs I LOVE tanks and stealth. I see no reason not to download it and give it a try.
I've read comments like this and it does seem like something Destiny should have been
How's the co-op in War Frame? Like how many in a party? Only thing I liked about Destiny was the open world and rolling with a SquadLast edited by AndYUKnowThis; 09-28-2017 at 03:05 PM.

4 player squads. Game is basically all about Co op and the community is really good and mature. I don't think I've ever been like trolled or ****ed with when searching for public squads. You can find squads easily in chat. Mostly people will be looking for specific warframe to fill a specific role for a mission.
If you like tanks and stealth this game will have multiple warframe for you to choose from. You can do stealth melee builds.for instance... Loki was my favorite melee character because he has an ability that disarms all enemies within a certain radius so you didn't have to worry about getting shot and could just melee til you dropped.
The devs update it constantly. It's top 10 in steams most played almost always. And it's free. Even if you wanna spend money to move thing s along faster.. It's just going to benefit anyone you play with so go for it.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

the devs also stream regularly. last night, they did a stream with 2 of the devs playing Plains of Eidolon. they also do dev streams every other Friday to show off stuff in the works. its pretty cool how the devs interact with the community
and I have to agree, for the most part, the warframe community is really chillGoals:

keep in mind that you aren't really tied to a 'class'
there are 4 or 5 warframes with an invis ability for stealth (Loki, Ivara, Ash, Octavia)
traditional tank frames would be: Rhino, Inaros, Nidus. However, with the right build; you can tank with Oberon, Trinity
everything in this game really comes down modding/buildsGoals:

this.
tbh i'm behind.. i think the last time i played was when they introduced the warframe that has the bow and arrow abilities and the spikes that come out of the ground, forget the name.
they do a great job of making all the frames really fun to play and mod. i always preferred it over destiny cause warframe had endless missions. destiny you would get maybe 50-150 kills in missions where in warframe its closer to 500-1500 kills. the combinations of warframes in a squad can make the game fun as ****ing hell especially with the crowd control frames like vauban.
and the cosmetics, god damn, so much awesome ****ing visual stuff you can do to your warframes. they usually do events with special skins for holidays and stuff, a few years ago they gave every warframe a tom selleck mustache option for movember.
think im gunna start playing again lolSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Gets boring when you have completed mastery rank for every warframe/weapon the only weapons i need are ones that drop every 6 months or so when i'm usually playing other games.
I'll try PoE and will most likely enjoy it but with the upcoming removal of energy regen on the zenurik skill tree it will literally kill my Immortal Chroma/WoF Ember and many other warframes.
(Goodbye 1-4hr+ Survivals/Farming)
I enjoy trading tho farmed alot of ember sets which actually sell for $70-100 worth of platinum (In game currency).——CLEVELAND BROWNS——

well, if you're interested, it seems they've just unveiled the Focus 2.0 changes

however, I'm not sure of the accuracy of the info. it appears that Naramon and Madurai are flipped. not sure if intentional or by mistakeGoals:
