the spherical one makes more sense bc we learned even before kindegarten that the earth basically spherical. my 3 year old can explain heliocentrism to you.
do not read my posts and weep, i am not there i do not sleep
i am the thousand greens that rep, i am the ban bet dutifully kept

What force keeps the earth suspended in space? Allowing it to travel around the sun? Who's pulling the strings? Who's holding it so it doesn't get pulled into the Suns gravitational pull? How doesn't the moon get pulled into our gravitational pull? How are the planets aligned the way they are?
Off to the gym brbJesus Christ is Lord whether you accept Him or not.

oh it's a thing, a thing you can find in a math book, but I was talking about what is the thing that keeps earth traveling through space, if the earth isn't stationary and it isn't like the worlds cup, what is this force that keeps the earth suspended in space like in all those photos from NASA or space x

Newton's first law: an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an outside force.
If we're in space and I shove you, you'll keep moving in the direction I shoved you in forever without the need for any force moving you through space.

warmer air near the equator and colder air near the poles causes the pattern you see.
remember that air is also a fluid and behaves as such on large scales. In the atmosphere you basically have 4-6 layers of air that are constantly moving past eachother depending on the geographic location.
the different heat zones of the earth and the day/night cycle cause air masses to be basically massive bubbles on the earths surface that slip past each other and move.
Weather is difficult to predict because fluid models are difficult to predict. Tornadoes and hurricanes are basically massive eddys"Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily." -Napoleon Bonaparte-

Why does dark matter need to exist to have gravity work?

Was talking to one of my coworkers who was an Army ranger sniper about this topic....
He just laughed and said we would have to account for curvature of the earth on long distance shotsBench: 45lbx4,500 reps
Deadlift: 100x6,500 reps
Squat: wtf is "squat"?
