I keep seeing people eat chicken and rice while bulking but the calorie content is sooo low. What are some bulking lunch ideas that I can start prepping for the week.

We eat quite a bit of steak especially thin sliced bottom round steak cooked for carne asada. You can eat it sliced up into strips on tortillas with some fresh salsa or just by itself if you're looking to keep your carbs down.
We also eat tuna salad made with mayo, mustard, and sweet relish which, once again, can be eaten as a wrap with a tortilla or lettuce.
Play around with seasonings when making your food and that will help make it fun to eat. I like to put salsa on my chicken to give it more flavor.
Fruits and veggies are a good thing to add in regardless of calorie count.IG: Amandalaughlinfit

Ok. Listen. I'm 6 foot 3 and currently around 230lbs. When I was your age, I weighed 145 at the same height. The very definition of a hard gainer. But you were told right, EAT MORE.
At your age, throw away the book. Eat tons of calorie dense food. Just try to limit your fat to a reasonable amount and focus on 1g of protein per pound of body weight. Your natural test levels at this age will do the rest.
Eat
Lift
Sleep
Enjoy it. It gets harder when you're older.

I have chicken, rice, broc, avocado and kiwi every day at lunch. Plenty of carbs, protein, good fats, fibre and micronutrients. It's a pretty complete meal. I often swap the chicken out for salmon or like leftover chilli or whatever, or the rice for pasta or noodles. It really doesn't matter that much.

yeah, no... that's just silly...
good hormonal levels and a growing body doesn't mean your caloric needs double/triple automatically...
Can you get away with more during that period especially if you're active? Of course... but that doesn't mean you're a magical exception to the rules...
Teens who are active, growing, and especially those who are lifting should eat to hunger + enjoy lots of stuff they enjoy while still focusing on primarily wholesome, nutritious foods just like anyone else, but they have more 'wiggle room' than, say, someone who is 50 years old and trying to recomp...
