I really want my abs to show and i can kinda see the layer of upper ones in good lighting but obviously that doesn't mean abs. I am 6f 1 inch, 160 lbs and 18 years old. I want to be lean nd then gain size because everyone i meet can tell i workout so they ask me if i have abs nd poof *embarassement* What should I do, eat more and pack on more muscle or eat in a deficit and lose fat? I am obviously not that muscular but i wanna be lean first so I can see my abs even on a bulk.

a) Do you personally feel too fat?
b) How is your appetite? Are you struggling to eat enough calories to continually grow? From my past experiences, when I start having trouble eating enough to put on weight, is because my body is needing a cut on my calorie intake.
c) How is your strength? Still increasing?https://www.instagram.com/brunobastos_93/

I agree with you in the sence that having abs doesnt mean much when you're small. HOWEVER, personally, and I think most people will agree with me, I'd much rather start off as skinny but lean, and then just build up from there, than start off skinny fat or even fat. Not only your visual progress is much more evident when you're bulking and lean, your nutrition partioning is much, much better when you're lean.
