What's a lot of money?

I do a bit of everything everyday, so it never gets boring, sometimes I'm installing hardware, running cable, sometimes I sell services or hardware, most of the time I system administrate. I make something like $75k after bonuses and such.

I wake up around 12:00pm. I hit the shower, sometimes I take a quick shower but other times I'll spend an hour or two in the bath while on my phone screwing around. I get out of the shower, eat breakfast and grab coffee at the Starbucks near my house. I might hit the pool on a hot day or head out to do some chores like grocery shopping depending on what needs to get done. In the winter I would have woken up earlier and hit the slopes for a day of snowboarding. On rare days where I'm feeling particularly motivated I'll head out to a coffee shop and work for a couple hours in the afternoon or early evening. My gf usually prepares me dinner so I'll eat with her around 6:00pm. After dinner I'll hang out with the girlfriend or friends for a couple hours and then I'll hit the gym sometime before midnight. When I get back from the gym I'll make some coffee and work until about 4:00am before I hit the bed.

Being a lead is great. Only work on innovative POCs to find best strategies, then you delegate the implementation of said strategy to lower level guys.

Only thing I hate is scrum. Very pretend lol and a huge waste of time in many cases. Meetings all day sometimes. But at the rate im paid and the cushy life style I have, I cannot complain.

That's why you use the money to enhance the rest of your life. That's the founding principle of capitalism right? Whore yourself out so you can buy stuff you want. At the end of the day all jobs suck, might as well do something that is easy on the body, stimulating to the mind and stuffs your bank account.

I used to work with a programmer, smart guy - if he was expected to complete a project in 2 weeks, he would normally complete it in 2-3 days, but not report it completed until about 10 days. The project would get done a few days early and he would get a full week to enjoy. It's all about perception. He would always tell me that there was no point in reporting the work as done, because then he would set the expectations very high and the job would become stressful. Why bother when you're going to get paid the same $ either way?

Is there no upward mobility at that company? At my company if someone performs 2x their expecation, they'll get a promotion/raise of 30-40%
