You dont. If you dont already have cool friends and a social circle by 18, you are fuked for life. From 20s onwards people are just focused on their career, girlfriends and families and dont care about making new friends. You are literally in the desert looking for water.

Yeah everyone around my age is married and has kids. I cant even believe I'm 30 I can't even pretend I'm 25 anymore and have a chance. It's long over. All I am surrounded by is old people with kids like I'm literally just a few years away from legit being old.

I am 28 too and feel the same way. Like just came home and saw a teenage stacy with a great ass with some Chad. It was especially painful because it reminded me of how i wasted my teenage years and youth.

different country, different world man. my cousin was a mushroom farmer in saudia arabia for $2 a DAY.

my relatives in the phillppines make like equivalent to $100 cad/month. but you can buy nice full dinner for $4 cad equivalent pesos. they don't have crazy tax like they do here either.

i live in canada where you can't even buy a mcdonalds meal for $10. with tax it's like $14. and then public transit commute back and forth is like $8

rather be poor in a poor country than poor in a rich country. canada is complete trash if you're poor. well it's a trash country in general, but it's worse if you're poor, and worse if you're poor and not white. it's not life. whereas in asia if you're poor you can still be happy. there's people in asia without jobs who love life. the vibe is much nicer in asia.

Just been lying in bed almost the entire day today. How are you supposed to live a life if you can barely function & never have anywhere to go? I kinda already gave up on anything improving. Literally nothing helps no matter what I’ve tried. Even going to the gym doesn’t help.

Yeah you just get to the point where you have to ignore people because everywhere you go everyone already knows you as the quiet guy. Only thing you can do is approach others which is impossible without alcohol.

Yeah, I’m sick of it man. Even my new store manager the other day labeled me as the quiet guy. He had to mention I’m quiet when no one else ever gets that label. Women are exempt from it since being quiet as a woman isn’t labeled as a negative in society but a quiet guy is deemed as a negative automatically & no one wants to be around you. It really does limit your quality of life being a quiet guy but if that’s your natural personally what are you supposed to do?

Yeah my boss does this too. She always says "it's the man of no words" or "we will leave you alone now" and stuff like that. I swear people just think you are crazy or something if you are quiet. People always try to fuk with me and take jabs at me in conversation too so idk how to socialize when others are around because someone always does this and makes me look stupid.

uni is bull**** man, i failed some classes but when i tried properly i did really good in them. if you arent motivated, you wont do good. im telling you when it comes to a career, just think broader. you might actually like something thats a bit obscure like i said maybe something LE related like working at a court or something or a fire fighter

I just don't get how people do it. Not every single person is super social but i swear to god like 99% of people i see on a daily basis have good/quick social skills and can talk about anything. If it isn't something i really care about then why talk? How do these people withstand the boring small talk with everyone? And if they make friends how do they make them so quick and not run out of things to talk about? Is everyone just talking about the latest trendy pop culture stuff or what?

Its only hard to hold a convo if you think about not knowing what to say, bc then you run out of stuff to say automatically, social skills are developed from being social so obvs bad social skills=less social=worse social skills
A good way to hold convos is to firstly watch podcats gives you things to talk about and practice in convos. I just talk about whatever comes to mind, if you overanalyze convos you panic and forget what 2 talk about.
I got more out going by drinking for 2weeks straight(srs), which was my intention going into it in order to rewire my brain. Most ppl should not attempt this unless you know you have the will power. Addy is a huge personality changer fr, makes you love to be social and you can legit talk 4ever id recommend that for 2-3months and a lot safer. You can hold 2hr phone convos easy, mad game etc. Your brain releases serotonin according to where you see yourself in the social hierachy. High rank = more serotonin, addy = more serotonin, you trick your brain into being high social status.

**** lol. i had a phone interview, i think i had a good chance of being hired but i can't make it to the place because no buses around the time..... maybe i should buy a skateboard. but it's still a 40 minute walk lol. there's another high paying part-time job i'm really qualified for but need a car as well. **** this city. public transit should be high priority for big cities. people in charge of cities are so stupid. you want us all ****in driving. there's no ****in place to park cars. roads are already congested. not everyone can afford that **** either. only japan does cities properly, got buses and advanced trains going everywhere. extremely populated city but barely any traffic, and able to get anywhere you want without a car, that's how you do a city.

people who can't afford a car + can't get a job because no car, brb doesn't make sense. + brb city is already congested with cars = brb city doesn't come with a solution = **** this country

i can't imagine failing my classes. spend so much money on them. i would have been better off spending the money on first aid training so i could become a first aid attendant. still thinking about that actually but the training is like $900. i spent $1500 on college... well I got lucky because the government gave me a low-income grant lol. so I actually only paid about $400

Yet i feel like i'm the only one with this crippling depression. But it never fails no matter where i go 98% of people are talking to each other like they have been friends forever.

I just don’t know where to meet people anymore. At my job a few days ago there was an older woman I was briefly interacting with saying how people are always on their cellphones these days & that no one talks to each other anymore. I agreed 100% & if an older woman like that is in the know than it must be true. What I don’t understand is if no one is social anymore how is it everyday I constantly see people in groups or guys are always with these good looking wives/girlfriends. I really think other people are just programmed into things & they naturally work out for them while I’m one of the only real people in this world. It’s just so damn bizarre man how things organically work out for everyone even with how no one talks to one another anymore. You go out anywhere & people are glued to their cellphones or have earbuds in not wanting to be bothered.

Everyone is glued to their phones if they are alone but that like I said is only maybe 2 or 5% of people. But anyone like that isnt goin to talk anyways so my only chance is to try and fit into someone else's group which is impossible when you have no friends anywhere

Like literally everyone I interact with on a daily basis seems like an extrovert too. I can't be around those people for very long because I need time to recharge.

Almost relapsed on self harm. One of the reasons I just got out of a relationship was because she didn’t like the fact I was on antidepressants.

I wasn’t ****ed up on them.. she never saw me take them or my bottles. It really hurt. The only girl to ever make me feel so.. terrible about being on medication.

I guess smoking dabs and drinking is a better way to cope from her avrooms. Only 3 months but I really liked her. I do drink but not a lot. I don’t smoke.

Out of town right now at some mall and like I said it's just 100% couples and kids everywhere. I walked around for a bit but the whole time I was thinking I already have everything I need here and I can just get this stuff online. I just dont understand why I always feel this way all a dr will do is tell me I'm depressed but it seems like there is nothing I can do to help myself

Trust me dude, not everyone is stoked about working but it's the fact of being dependent on that income of working to pay for your current lifestyle. It helps to like what you do especially if it's a milestone to something better but if your current lifestyle is dependent on it then you don't have much of a choice unless you have a new opportunity with better circumstances that you can move on towards. In regards to your general energy, it could be your sleeping schedules and/or current diet/nutrition. Are you eating enough carbs? Are you drinking at least 2L of water daily?

I had a problem with a substance. I’ve battled social anxiety since I was 21 (bipolar since 12)

Go to a bar. Not a club and try and make friends. Go early, around 9-10 o clock. It’s the best time. Make friends with a group of girls. Uglier is the best because you learn social skills. Then go from there. Rejection is going to happen but it’s just like breaking a PR.

FYI Iwas in Santa Cruz on business and didn’t make any friends until the last night I was there. 2 nights out and went home without a single new friend.

You want friends? Push yourself. Talk in the mirror. Don’t be quite and shy. Learn from your mistakes.

Imagine what type of friend you want and be him/her

Sometimes I just think about moving to a 3rd world village with no internet access and no social media and just starting life over again there.
