Still don't understand this. If he got down there - why wouldn't he be able to be lifted back up?
it says they "couldn't pull him back without breaking his legs" So fkn break his legs! Whatever it takes Gawddamnit! (word to Rich Piana RIP) srsly though I'd rather have my legs broken being yanked out of a death cave than left to die there so my legs would be ok.
Or am I missing something? I don't have much experience with risking my life in death tunnels.

Absolutely crazy, in the little sea town where i spend my holidays there are alot of incredibly beautiful submarine caves, and the little church on the beach has the names of hundreds and hundreds of people who died exploring them, I dont know about normal caves but for underwater ones all it takes for a diver to not make it back on the surface is to touch a little sand with his fins, the sand obstructs view and they start panicking and get disoriented, breathing heavily then they run out of air, i can imagine very few worst ways to go... damn
Some of these caves I saw with my eyes with a mask but I didnt dive more than 1 metre, srs, you see this incredible light blue light coming from below, is very easy to mistake up and down, and you feel compelled to go towards the light is truly oniric in the sense that is a spectacle of beauty, it looks crazy and you feel like you are in another world, I can see how some people may be compelled to dive, even writing this and reminiscing it from the safety of my house i feel like exploring it, is such a deadly trap, that said, play stupid games win stupid prizes, stay safe
On mobile but I may add pics laterLast edited by StainlesSon; 09-05-2017 at 09:24 AM.

I'll stick to exploring vag
This looks like an expensive hobby why would they even do this? Funny how you never see a black guy down there.
Why couldn't they break the rock to make more room for his legs to bend? They could have brought a drill or hammer and chizel more space
Who thinks oh unexplored cave let me squeeze in upside down and see what's down there?Any posts made are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously. It's exactly because it's so insane that these people do it. It's to say "yeah I did that" - there's really nothing more to it than this. Just an adrenaline rush/challenge/bragging rights. Naturally along the way people will die. Not really a shock. Same as any other extreme expedition or 'sport'

I find jerking off as a more appealing pastime than getting stuck upside down in dark crevices. I feel bad for the family. him, not as much.

They tried. The space before he got stuck is basically just enough for a body to fit though. So it sounded like it was incredibly difficult to actually chisel anything.
Honestly, once again, this just seemed inevitable. You start crawling around in a space just big enough for your body, and then try to squeeze into one even smaller (he had to suck in his chest to even fit), and then get stuck.

I get claustrophobic just thinking about this. The first hour of the movie The Descent showed some of this - people squeezing through passageways that are so small you have to worm your way thru, pushing your pack. To hell with that.
I fear I'll get stuck in an MRI tube and it catches fire. My insurance won't cover the nicer stand-up MRI tubes...~Perma-bulk crew~
