Does fiber count as a carb?
Fiber=carbs, but I know they're a different type. Are they ok, and if so, should there be a limit?

no you dont count fiber as carbs because they are not digested by the body.

When calculating your carbs, subtract the fibre in food to give you the figure you use. Most leafy green veg has so much fibre that net carbs work out at 1 or 2g of carbs per portion.
While it's sometimes a good idea to take some extra fibre like psyllum husks, you don't subtract them from your daily totals.
And sugar alcohols etc do count.

Sorry for bumping a 2yr old thread, but I found it while searching for an answer, and this one pertains to my question.
I keep a spreadsheet I've developed to track my daily macro breakdown. It gives me a running total of my percentages for each macro. I'm running CKD at 65/30/5 and just trying to get a definitive answer on carbs. Right now, the formula looks at total carbs for the daily percentage, but if I'm reading this right, I should actually subtract fiber and sugar alcohols from the total and use that figure to apply toward my daily percentage? Is that right?
For example, the spinach I eat lists carbs as 3g carbs with 3g fiber per serving. Does this mean I could literally eat as much spinach as I wanted (within my daily caloric needs) and still have the 25-30g carbs to "spend" elsewhere?
I'm sorry if this is beating a dead horse, but I just want to make sure about this so I don't knock myself out of ketosis.
Thanks in advance...

Just eat all the high fibre veggies you want. However, sugar alcohols are a different thing. Avoid, and if you must eat, then count them as carbs.
