My oldest is 5 now. He was going to bed fantastic until a month ago when my wife decided to lay down and snuggle with him. Now he refuses to go to bed until someone comes and snuggles with him for a bit before he goes to sleep. Worst mistake ever.

I guess the way I see it he has to eventually grow out of it and there will be a day I cry when he wants nothing to do with wife and I. I read a thread today about it and they say "one day you pick your kid up then put them down and will never pick them up again!" so I will take it now.

Carbon Prep was really good, taste reminded me of Scivation Novem.. so kinda dated flavoring... wonder if Layne just went "give the good ol' Scivation treatment" Flavor specialist: "Say no moh fam"

Took 200mg Caffeine and extra 2g Citrulline with it, boost felt smooth and less stressful without affecting energy perception too much like theanine.

Yeah I know. When I read the reddit thread I almost cried and got all emotional thinking how some days I am worn out and tired and want him to play by himself (still ALWAYS wants someone, mostly me, to play with him) or "grow up" but then realize one day he won't want to play with me or be held or anything and I know I will cry and miss it so much and regret taking it for granted.

As for that flavoring, I love it. Tart which I love.

yep It was great at that price, worth at least $30 IMO, If it only was caffeinated it might have done better and possibly even carry the whole line afloat, IIRC it was like $35 at launch :/

Also cake bites really have just plain old protein bars texture.. I liked the coating tho, they're not great but wood smash more lul

He used to come into our bed a lot and then fall back asleep but now it's just to wake up. Lately he has been going though occasional night terrors. Not nightmares really but terrors which are a whole different level of sleep interruptions. He had a phase when he had bad dreams and nightmares and woke up screaming for me or wife but now if he does he seems to more calmly call for me to come lay with him.

It's so hard because you want to play with them all the time but still want them to be independent. I'm trying to strike a balance between encouraging him to play games but also getting outside to be active. I'm a big gamer but I don't want to let him get carried away with it. Some of the games you can get now are amazing... his problem solving skills are great at 4 IMO and he's so aware of everything.

N-ISO Creamy Vanilla is the best vanilla I've ever had (srs, no shill). Kaged Muscle Kasein Vanilla Shake, Animal Whey Vanilla, and PES Select Gourmet Vanilla are all worth mentioning as well. Vanilla is my go to flavor because it's just so versatile and can be added to literally anything. I've even made a "sauce/topping" out of it with peanut butter and some spices and lathered it over chicken and rice and it was phenomenal.

I'm not a fan of CnC proteins in general.

Thanks! I wish I could say yeah I have it figured out. Made many mistakes with punishment, handling certain situations, dealing now with eating better food (hotdogs and pizza too often) and other things. He has a major cavity in one of his molars that has gotten worse. Probably our fault for not brushing as well as we should and then letting him eat a sugary snack before bed like gushers which I am sure stuck in there and caused it. We have learned from that and now do so much better but now to hope he lets the dentist do what is needed this Thursday. Last time when it was smaller he "freaked out" and would not let the dentist fill it so now here we are.

Have to learn to not get so mad or frustrated and go into mean dad face and voice. I also need to not expect him to be perfect and what I want him to be and that I am there to guide the best I can to be the best him he can be. Times are so hard these days. I wish things were like when I grew up. Kids were nicer, no technology or at least not as much and just overall seemingly better world in a lot of ways.

I'm sure i'm gonna go through a lot of similar stuff. Even with my step kid, I can relate to what you're saying. Not turning into "angry dad" was something that took me some time to learn. I have a pretty short fuse and have had to teach myself to take a step back, breath, and try to think logically before reacting. Had to remind myself time and time again that I was dealing with a life noob lol

My biggest miss. Always has been. The excessive traveling in Fl with my last location led me to consume caffeine at an intake gbullock would say wtf. I’m done with those days, any travel is now booked into my contracts allowing many four day work weeks to account for what is 6-7 when traveling.

Good alternative to those cereal lovers that are obcessed with "clean eating". But the marshmallows are so soft and you get maybe 1-2 at a time that it's a nice change up from pure liquid. I actually prefer something to chew on in my shakes from time to time, so I sometimes blend with whole almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews.
