2 cards. 1 of them was a credit building card I got when I was 20. Never use it but its my oldest line of credit so I keep it open. The other is a CapitalOne card that I use to buy pretty much everything for the points. Last i checked I had a 798 score. I don't need credit for anything since I've already signed that mortgage a few years back so I'll probably cancel the student card and just use the CapitalOne card from here on out. Bought a new truck 2 years ago, no financing needed.

780-790 score depending on the month.

I use CC's for everything I can and pay them off in full at the end of every month.

Other two are rotating categories that I use to maximize the gains.

No debt, 770 score. I put 100% of my spending through them, I've averaged about $40\month income from the cashback bonuses over the last few years. That **** adds up, I've made over a thousand bucks from it.

Only thing holding me back from 800+ score is history, I only have ~4yr history on my oldest card... I got started late. 100% ontime payments, I've paid 63 cents in interset *ever*, <5% utilization, etc, etc, etc, etc.

When I was young I made mistakes. I had about a 710 credit score then lost my job and relied on the credit cards like a fool. Credit score is now 529 which is unacceptable at my age. I look forward to fixing this. Just thought I would give you an honest answer.




I sure enjoyed seeing all the miscers who have 800+ credit scores. It's lies, just like the 100k salary is a lie and how you have a huge car payment on that new truck.

3 cards for a total of 40k credit. 2 of em are kinda chit, no real rewards or cash back, one is awesome with cash back

I use the good one for every purchase/expenditure and pay off at the end of the month. I get about $80 cash back a month.

Never let balance get above 3k

yes. the best thing for you to do would be nothing at all. just keep paying on time.

6 or 7. use 4 of them regularly. Hotel card, airline card, Amex, cash back. I cant remember the last time I used my debit card
