Been inactive for a few moons. Starting a new log to keep myself motivated. I have a few 5k runs I am training for. I havent run in years and I am terrible at it. I still train the big 3 in a PL style, but have no plans to compete anytime soon. I still on occasion get some strongman implements out and do dumb things that lead to injuries, but are fun as hell. My first 5k is on 9/29. MY goal is to be faster than 30 minutes.

Todays goal: Run my first mile as fast as I can.
Walked .25 miles warmup
Jogged 2 miles in 23:11. First mile was 10:34, second was 12:36.
Walked .25 miles to my gym.
Sit Ups:
6X21, 2 minutes between sets
Planks:
4X60 seconds, 60 seconds between sets
Walked Home.
4 exercises completed
2.85 miles total
Thoughts: Best opening mile I have run since I started again a few weeks ago. Still very slow but considering I am 260lbs and havent run in a decade, I will take it. It only gets faster from here.★cVc★

Aug 18th
Took my childrens to the zoo. Walked a bunch but didnt do much else
According to my phone: 12753 steps, 6.71 miles
Aug 19th
Went to the Iowa state fair. I hate these things but my kids wanted to go.
According to my phone: 18438 steps, 9.77 miles
Aug 20th
Got home late and woke up early so attempted to jog. I was very dehydrated and it showed almost immediately. First mile went decent then I started cramping badly so I just walked back to my truck.
1.81 miles in 25:56
First mile: 11:53, felt decent until about 3/4th mile then cramping started.
Rest: .81 in 14:03
Sit ups: 6X21 with 2 minutes between sets
Plank: 3 sets of 1:05, 1:05 between sets
Side Plank: 2 sets of 20 seconds each side
Notes: Lesson learned, I need to keep up on hydration better. In all reality I should have skipped this mornings jog, but at least I got some work in.★cVc★
