People who have kids can you explain the appeal

I know how arrogant this question comes off but I had resigned myself to a no kids life til recently. Ive been seeing a girl whos father calls her and her sister over a dozen times a day. He is 71 (had kids late), his wife died, he has no friends, he does not work and honestly theres no reason he should keep going on besides his kids they are the only thing that doesnt suck cock in his life. So I wanted to gain perspective. Also seeing nfl guys with families there must be something to it.

The whole concept of family is pretty great if you work hard at it with a partner who is on the same page as you.

Life is pathetic when you get old, your physical and mental self is deteriorating at a fast rate so you can't really enjoy the normal things in life like smashing sloots and travelling around the world anymore.. Also has to be at least 3 kids, I have a little bit of resentment towards my parents for not having more children, especially since my dad has 7 brothers and my mom has 3, so they know having a large family is great but they still wanted to be a 'modern european family' ffs...

Wife and I were in on no kids crew until we thought we decided to might one day consider entertaining the idea of having kids. Then mother nature took over. First kid will be 2 in November. All the clichés are true. It's great and frustrating all at once but the great far outweighs the frustrating. Life is definitely better for me.

Its amazing watching a kid grow from an infant to a small person with their own ideas and ambitions.

When my son was born, he cried for about 5 seconds before he opened his eyes. Then he just looked all around his new world. It was honestly fascinating. Then going through all the firsts and seeing him grow. Now he's 8, has a smart @ss sense of humor which constantly has me cracking up, and is to the point where I can do things like actually play catch with him without worrying that the ball will smash his face or can do kid things that I can get into with him as well like dart warz or something.

My daughter turns 3 tomorrow and she's probably the most fascinating kid I've ever met. She says the funniest things and has such a strong personality. She has an incurable disease and it's amazing to see how she just deals with the medical treatments like it's nothing.

I have a great wife as well so we get to do a ton of fun things together. They're honestly the best things that ever happened to me.

I think it's a biological desire to procreate and a desire for a legacy or immortality through your kids. Then once you have them bonding hormones make you love them more than yourself. People always say their kids are the best and most significant aspect of their life.

I know the old line of "you're never ready" but next to money, this is the biggest concern for most people in this thread. Prior to a child I was reckless, super sports bike for daily driver, pull out game as bc, wanted another combat deployment or regular deployments for the money and the experiences. At times lived pay check to pay check to the point of overdrafting because I was living for the now and not really giving a ****, **** ton of other little things that being young dumb and full of cum lmao had me doing.

After I started having the responsibilities of fatherhood I guess it was a real wake up call that I needed to be an adult even though I had already been one for years smh lol. To someone who comes from a strong family background I don't really see to much of an appeal for children because its not something you're not used to except for the fact that its your child, but I had "never" held a baby prior to my child, and I never liked children and really still don't lmao outside of mine. But the feeling of being responsible for the life that you helped create, seeing them grow with your personality if you spend enough time with them, and the love you get from them is something that a person like me had never had prior to a child.

Many people who have kids they want to live through them, whether it was sports glory days, singing careers, or some other type of life dream they did not get to live out so they want to have a child and hope that they can have that success.

Now idk how tf people do like more than 2 lmao. I cringe when I see females below 30 with 2+ kids

That may be. I married my high school sweetheart. I was 20 and in college and she was 18 just graduated high school. Im technically a college dropout as I left school after my sophomore year to move 500 miles from home for a job offer. Got married before we left. We had nothing except the spare furniture our families have us, and wedding gift money to get us through until I started getting a paycheck.

We started with nothing and built everything we have together over the past 14 years. Maybe that's why it's working, because we had to build it together. Maybe not. She's an amazing woman so that plays a huge part in it.

They make me smile every day and watching their little personalities grow hits you in the feels. Does suck a lot of "you" time away and you need to make compromises with what you do in life, but the upside is that you spend that time with them.
