Should i use straps on deadlift?

Ive been deadlifting for a few weeks now and idk if i should buy some straps. During my heavy sets my hand always get sweaty and i already have very small hands so my grip gives out first, even when doing over under grip. Im just trying to get a stronger deadlift and only doing 3-5 rep ranges. Ive also been doing static holds to improve my grip but when my hands sweat, its over.

I dead lift 1x5 once or twice a week on my 5x5 plan , because im going so heavy my hands sweat like a bitch , to counter this I use chalk! Helps me with my grip and im concentrating less on not the grip but more on the mind to muscle connection

Buy some chalk or liquid chalk if your hands get too sweaty

as long as your goal is not to compete as a power lifter, there is nothing wrong with using straps while lifting.

I wouldn't recommend straps to newbies. You have a long way to go before your grip strength hits its genetic limit. Use chalk instead.

Agree with chalk. Your grip will improve quickly just from practice.

deadlifts help build strength in your forearm without straps.

imo you should only use straps when the weight is heavy enough that your legs can move more than grip allows

    Lol aware.

No need for straps until you have maxed out grip. Get chalk or liquid chalk. If you really want to use straps, do all the work you can without, and then put them on for the last couple reps. Do grip work at the end of your workouts and torture your forearms.
