I was working on installing a tile floor (wood floor style) when I looked in the mirror. Now as most of you know I have really nice abs. Look at how the pockets of sweat shows up like an 8-pack. Aw yea anyone can see I have abs even through the shirt. This is what it looks like when you have abs this nice.



This is the floor I built with my bare hands like a real man. The dog was really well behaved. He never once crossed that line because the owner told him not to one time since we were working in there.



Anyway.. just wanted to share. Most tradies are out of shape and we get a bad rep. But we aren't all fat slobs that drink beer everyday so I wanted to show examples of tradies who are actually in shape. Some of us work just as hard, but look good doing it too. Breaking a sweat in style unlike those STEM office job losers with the sweaty arm pit stains on their white dress shirts.

Good abs don't make up for the shame of being a tradie.

In ye olden days being skinny and pale was a status symbol because it showed you could sit indoors all day doing nothing, while the peasants did manual labour outside.
Although that has been reversed today, in the sense that being muscular and tanned is a status symbol, it's only a status symbol because it shows you still have time to keep healthy, despite being in the office 8 hours a day. It's not applicable to tradies because you are peasants doing manual labour all day.

And I'm not sure how old you are but your face looks weathered as ****. Stubble, and not the good kind, with pronounced nasolabial folds.

I'm almost 50 and have abs still. Been in construction all my life, family business. A lot of tradies eat like crap but they can sure as hell lift heavy.

I know guys who did flooring their whole lives, developed huge tumors on their legs (from always having knees bent) and had to be amputated.

Not saying that's a guarantee for you, but personally I wouldn't even wanna run that risk.

And when I say tumors on the leg I mean literally right behind the knee, right where it bends so I doubt from unrelated causes.
