So, I figured this section would have the most experience with using a mouth piece while lifting.. The place where the big boys and girls push the most weight with tbf most effort..
Experiences? Opinions? Anecdotes? Worthwhile? Bunk bs?
Was thinking about just getting a cheap "boil and bite" one to just test and see how it goes, and then maybe jump into a more expensive fitted one if I see a benefit. Ive worn one for hockey in my younger years so setting one correctly isn't a problem.
I'll just elaborate, and add that I'm a real **** for grinding my teeth when I sleep, my dentist says, obviously I'm asleep so i don't know firsth hand :-P if that may play into any reply
I'm also kind of a "jaw clencher" so to speak, when it comes to lifting, as I feel tighter and can output more force when I do..
Thanks in advance guys!

Its not going to benefit you as much as some may think. The science behind it is that you can bite down on it to create more pressure throughout your body. How much extra pressure will it allow you to create? about 1% in terms of comfort or annoyance. I personally prefer to not use it. Its a 1%er and unless absolutely everything else is dialled in perfectly, then there is no point.

Get one, it def helps for grinding teeth and clenching your jaw. I know people that have cracked their teeth during lifting during heavy sets and a mouthpiece is a lot cheaper than getting your teeth fixed.

i started wearing a mouthguard when i chipped a tooth pulling 675lbs.
i don't care about any supposed minor increases in performance, I don't want to chip my teeth anymore that was painful and expensive.
i usually wear a $9.99 boil and bite for a few months before it starts to fall apart then replace it.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*
