Apparently since the money is meant to help developing nations switch from fossil fuels to greener energy China and India haven't contributed since both are considered developing nations. Doesn't make much sense.

Well, I won't be globetrotting in my private jet any longer for starters. I will also not be heating/cooling multiple residences, or be driven around in a 40,000 lb stretch Humvee which gets 1 mile to the gallon.
I will lead by example.
Will the politicians follow my lead?

I'm anxiously awaiting to see how they plan to do this actually. I mean, are they planning to kick in funds, as would have been the case had DT renewed. Because iirc, these cities will not have the amount of money they would normally have, you know, because the Feds are cutting them off.

You are a liar and a fool. Anyone not supporting it is a fool. What the hell does 0.06 degrees at the center of the earth have to do with any of this? The average temperature of the surface of the earth is breaking records almost every year and is rising faster and faster. The amount and intensity of storms including hurricanes will increase rapidly. The sea will rise making oceanfront property worthless. The data is there and the projections are there. Maybe not because Pruitt of the EPA is trying to destroy the data. Trump appointed an anti science nut to head the EPA.

Once again demonstrating how you don't know the left that you rail against so much.
Just to demonstrate that everyone is on the same page.
His legislative victories are just piling up, right?
Agreed, although I do find it troubling that the Gov. of California is essentially negotiating a treaty.

I'm not quite sure I understand what this has to do with my response. IMO the Paris Accord placed America in a situation in which we are expected to funnel money outside our borders while Russia and China pay nothing more than lip service to the agreement. Any agreement must be binding or it means nothing.

Yes but if man made climate change is real then it doesn't stay just in the local community. I think this was the whole (supposedly and what they want us to believe) point of getting everyone onboard.
Dropping out of the Paris agreement doesn't mean that the US won't continue developing clean energy and may even have more success with it when not bogged down by the bureaucracy (read.. black hole that you throw money into) that will be inevitable under the Paris agreement.
I have read that DT has or is going to cut funding to R&D (This from the leftist anti DT media over here). However history has shown that it’s not government funded research but private enterprise that has the most success in finding and developing new technology. This is the American way. You chase the money and profit.
It makes no difference what DT does for it will be portrayed as wrong regardless. The man could fire gold nuggets out of his anus and they would still be the wrong shape.
People over here forget that had it not been for the US we would all be speaking German or Russian.....but thats another subject.Anybody can workout for an hour but controlling what you eat the next 23 hours is the real task.

Just to be clear, I don't consider you "left." most folks I know irl life who claim left or right, actually live in both camps much of the time, depending on the issue.
I am talking about the left wing knuckleheads like Schumer, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc. You could set your watch by this group. Do we have people here on bbdotcom? Yes we do, but not many.
I am being 100% sincere when I say that had DT stayed in the Paris agreement, some of the left would have gone on the news a millisecond later and said what an awful decision it was.If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

Of course it goes both ways. However, the right has beaten DT up on many occasions prior to, and since taking office. He has not gotten a few pass from those claiming R.
If we can achieve the same goals here at home, which are outlined in the Paris agreement, without funding the program for the rest of the world, I'm all in.If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

I'd like to know what she means by that they need to have some difficult and embarrassing conversations now? Are they embarrassing because of their existing policies are so lenient? I'm not really sure what she was saying. Hopefully they get tougher on the terror front though...
