I am curious about what levels of respect someone has for someone they don't know.

An awesome trip indeed! That's actually a fair point; I probably put too much emphasis on the term respect. If I'm going to rephrase it better, you could say that within the fitness industry, him along with a few others are the videos I enjoyed watching/listening to the most because he (and others) seemed to be in the minority of those that spew the usual bro science BS. But then again, it IS just social media, and I guess it only takes someone to preach the opposite of what people are so used to hearing and it makes them the unique one and thus, gains them a following because people "respect" them more (aka, yours truly lol).

I don't respect anyone who sells information, ideas, or plans that are out there if someone were to just try. I do admire Brian Shaw, and even though I cannot understand him, Zydrunas Savickas. Brian is just like a little kid, he doesn't try to sell his chit in his videos.....gives very little but decent advice. Doesn't talk chit about his fellow competitors......all strongmen seem just like chill dudes who want to help each other, because they know its their responsibility to do their best.

Well, we got to the crux of it then - you don't really see cheating as that big a deal. I see it as massively disrespectful and an exposition of poor character, even if they aren't married.

For that reason, unless I had amble and sustainable evidence that the person has changed, I wouldn't want to be friends or trust them. It's not like he's 16 years old. I actually feel bad for your partner, I'm sure he/she would like to know your position on cheating. If it's that weak, you're likely to give into the temptation imo.

Cheating is a big deal. You're breaking someone's trust. It isn't a big enough deal to disrespect everything about a guy.

To simply say "I don't respect someone" is to say, "I don't like anything about that man." It's a general statement.

The dude is a competitor, puts out nutrition, and workout routines based on studies (HS-T) for one. You can't not respect those as they have proven results.

It's six the morning, I just woke up, and I was just being nitpicky about how people are saying "I lost respect for him" about a guy on the internet when in reality they lost respect for his character. I don't know the story behind the dude and his cheating so I'll just leave it set that.

I lost all respect for that guy after I saw him at a grocery store in Tampa a while ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, Oh, like youre doing now?

I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen gallons of milk in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the cartons and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
