I'm not actually doing this as a day trader. I'm in for the long term so I'm trying not to be worried about weekly deviation in value of eth. Although honestly, its hard to ignore the dips. Just have to remember what my long term intentions are.
Exactly this.

It blows my mind that anyone is worried about crypto from a small dip like this..
Look at how much money is in crypto now. It quadrupled in 2 months. There are week-long conferences and events happening almost every single day around the globe.
OBV it's a bubble.. thanks for pointing out the obvious... but this **** is the future.
Think of how many people know about this. Not even 1% of the population. (ethereum and other alts I mean, BTC is a bit more popular, but hardly anyone irl actually invests)
I've told a bunch of people about this.. you know how many have invested? ZERO because they're all just too busy doing dumb **** and dismiss it without even thinking
Imagine when those people are getting convinced they need to include crypto in their 401ks... this is still the INFANT stages

Pretty much. I've known about Bitcoin for a while, but just really started learning about some of the others more recently. Hardly anybody I know really knows much about it, and those that have heard of it always assume it's a scam and say it's stupid, yet have no answer when asked to describe what crypto currency or a block-chain is.*Looking at sats makes me cry crew*

Exactly I don't believe it's a bubble, this is an emerging market so volatility is expected. We are in on the ground floor. To think I heard of bitcoin in it's early days. I had 10k saved up and ended up blowing it. Hell what's worse is I saw this very topic when it first started. Looked at it and dismissed it too. TWO chances to rock them lambos. Feels bad man.
This right here is probably the last chance we will get in this market to start early for cheap and get a big pay day in a few years. I just need more capital. Anyone have any success stories of flipping Alts? Seems you can't really lose picking some alts on the dip and selling high. I need to flip enough to buy some ether.
**not this topic there was another etherum topic some guy started like a year or two ago, I read through it and just dismissed it**

Lets be serious. Coinbase is the best on ramp in the US. With the crazy volume (742k right now) and the crazy amount of people trying to get verified....there's going to be downtime.
Once you get verified ALWAYS use GDAX......same login information and lower limit order fees.
If you are buying/selling on Coinbase you're doing it wrong (unless instant buy with a rewards credit card). Use the alternative coinbase platform GDAX.
https://www.gdax.com/fees/ETH-USD .. ACH deposit/withdrawal is free.Last edited by 1cav; 06-15-2017 at 08:49 PM.

This. Not sure what problem you guys are complaining as I was able to buy some last night. Are you guys just starting to get verified? Maybe that's what's taking time.
I think for those who are already verified, there are no issues.
I was having a bit of issues when buying last night because of the $1000 limit. I submitted a copy of my driver's license and got the approval in minutes to exceed $1000.Steam - jinda28

So even with the dip, ETH continued to get closer with BTC's market cap. I think this is the closest I have seen.
81% within Bitcoin!
Access as in logging in or making a transaction? Because I was online on coinbase almost the whole day on my work pc and cell just watching the fluctuations.Steam - jinda28

Wonder if that's because Coinbase wants to buy the cheap BTC out there to put in their reserves only to sell it a little later at a decent markup+fee
brb btc/eth crashes
brb coinbase takes down their server and starts accumulating from the various exchanges
brb price starts to stabilize so they 'fix' their serves and allow their users to buy the company's recently purchased 'cheap' btc/eth held in their reserves (at a higher cost of course)

yup. during the last dip i was able to log in but every single purchase i made got cancelled (tried about 20 time srs). a couple days later when prices went back up i was able to buy with no issues. they had to buy btc/eth at some price and if prices drop down too low they're just gonna cancel buy orders/shut down servers until price goes back up to an amount they're willing to sell at. ****ing shady **** but what can you do i doubt they're regulated. just go to gemini fuk cuckbase
