Those tradies who work 12 hour continental / rotating shifts where you're on for a few days off a few then on for a few nights and off for a few days repeat, how do you manage to fit the gym in your schedule?
Do you workout on off days and work around your work schedule or hit the gym before / after shifts ?

Friend is a tradie and works 6 days a week 12-14 hour shifts. Guy gets a chunk of money from the OT. I don't know how he manages his time but he still finds time to meal prep, train at the gym, and go to pubs after work
He lifts 3 days a week usually after his shift. What's bad is he has 3 monster energy drinks a day.

The trick is to start by not being a peasant tradie...
JK... I sit in an office most of the day and sometimes still struggle to feel energized for the gym. I used to work in construction, leaving home at 5:30am most mornings and getting home at 4:30pm. The last thing I felt like doing was training. So respect to y'all for that.
I'd imagine a decent PWO will get you through.

I go to the gym every night and i work 12 hour shifts (4 on 4 off). If i'm not training at all then i get tired by the end of my shift. Training actually gives me loads more energy, adaptation and all that.
Edit: Didn't read OP's post properly. I only do dayshift, no nights. Yeah the guys who swap from dayshift to night shift every week do it tough. You need to be getting good quality sleep with weight training and i can't see how that is possible doing days/nights. Not my cup of tea."Governments don't want a population capable of critical thinking. They want obedient workers, people just smart enough to run the machines and just dumb enough to passively accept their situation" - George Carlin
