Hey everyone. I am pretty sure I had asked this before but can't find where it was or anything when I did a search. I have tried searching the web as well and if I find anything it is either fish oil or news articles about suing companies over false label advertisements. I stopped taking my supplements and have been focusing on eating but I have found it is sometimes easier and more convenient to use some supplements over trying to get them through my food. I am looking for supplements that are 3rd party approved. I am looking for a pre workout and a protein powder. I had tried ON protein and liked it but than switched to Muscle Pharm because it appeared to be offering a slightly more protein grams than the ON. I found the Muscle Pharm to be pretty bad compared to the ON. It seemed to taste bad and the protein would clump after sitting for a short time. I had seen something online about how to tell you have bad Protein and clumping was a sign and the way it taste I would agree with that theory. I am looking for the best bang for my buck. If the label says it has xyz that what I want not abc. Any help in finding how a product is 3rd party tested?

Some companies will provide results when asked i.e. Nutrabio, PES, Blue Star etc. and Musclepharm has them all on their site http://mpssi.com/protein-quality-reports/

I am involved in raw material handling and all ingredients/products have a COA that are provided upon request. I understand you don't have access to them but it's reasonable to be skeptical when no test results from what is a highly regarded program have been made available.

You really can't compare a single third party test vs a verification program. Check out the ChromaDex Program below

Verification programs without COA available to consumers are a sham, plain and simple. I don't care who works or thinks they work in this industry. You're not willing to provide the detailed breakdown, you're hiding something.

Nobody is asking for every single test result from all lots, there are very few that do that, but you haven't provided 1 and you keep touting this program. BPI has way too much to lose by not meeting label claims so I'm not doubting they do but it isn't hard to come up with a single test result if you have any form of communication/relationship with the company.

So some of this stuff is over my head for sure. I am looking for something that says it has xyz in it and it actually does have xyz in it. As stated before I tried muscle pharm due to the label being similar to ON protein but 5 grams extra protein than ON. The end result was it was not good. Tasted bad, Clumped up. I also saw an article about muscle pharm building their own facility for testing but that is the type of thing that makes me leery. I like the idea of a 3rd party test or a review with someone who actually tested it and can verify that the product is what it says it is. Muscle pharm running its product through their testing facility only means they can put what they want on the bottle and show you proof that its correct but that doesn't mean the proof is legit and not forged for the better of the company. Men's health magazine just had an article about supplement company's running illegal substances but due to the lack of research and a government system to monitor the supplements properly there are a lot of scams going on. I'm not worried about scams or anything I just want a good dependable company that works by putting the facts behind them. I had heard about a sight that tested supplements for reviews but I have had no luck finding the website and the data sheet that was posted here is too much science for me to understand what it is truly saying.

There are a number of brands that have been third party tested.
Stack3d tested a number of different protein powders, including NutraBio and PES.
This company also does third party tests for protein powders, bars, and some amino supplements. They're a Dutch company though, so not all of the brands may be relevant to you if you are purchasing in the US. They do, though, have some popular brands here like Dymatize. You can't help the hopeless.
