I was lucky enough to get a sample bar of the new animal bar . from the same company that brings you the famous animal pak which is now available in powder form now, if your having a hard time swallowing tablets .
the bar is about the same size as the bars that are out in the market right now . no idea on the macros for now . but it was realy satisfying . I had mine in between meals . the flavor was perfect . not too bland not too sweet . just right . no digestion issues .

This one is very interesting. It was designed and formulated to Evan Centopani's exacting specs and designed for maximum quality and digestibility. Some early feedback from an early Alpha Testing Program: http://forum.animalpak.com/showthrea...XL-Meal-Powder
I think the taste is pretty unique and that has something to do with the fact that Universal Nutrition manufactures their own bars. They don't use contract manufacturers. What I like best is that the taste is, well really natural and wholesome tasting. The flavors aren't over the top and it doesn't taste processed.New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

Who is FF?
For others interested in reviews and what the bar looks like, check out this thread: http://forums.musculardevelopment.co...rototype/page3
"I have only ever found one food bar that I have liked and this makes two. I'm not sure what the flavor was, but it had peanut butter in it as well as chocolate chips. The best part was the lack of candy coating on the outside. Nearly every bar I've tried has some sort of gross chocolate outside which ruins the bar for me. Pleasant to see Animal's did not. Just a plain and simple bar that tasted good."New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

This information is already public so I can repost it. So yes, the ingredients in the bar are pretty simple. No artificial sweeteners or colors. Ingredients include oats, peanut butter, almonds, brown rice and sea salt. That prototype bar does contain chocolate chips. The goal is 25g of quality protein from milk. The bar lets the flavors of the ingredients shine so nothing over the top or processed tasting. These bars are all made at Universal Nutrition's headquarters in NJ.

The sweetness (which is arguably very subtle) comes from the honey, brown rice and the other ingredients. The sweetness won't kick you in the nads like other bars you may have had. Taste is extremely subjective. If you like the bars that are out on the market, you may not like this one as the flavor profile is pretty subtle. It tastes really "natural" for a lack of a better word. You'll see.
Oh right, Firefist.
Of course the term "clean" lies in the eye of the beholder The macros should be pretty solid but the bar is more about the ingredients than any one thing. Maybe most importantly, the bar doesn't use any of those newfangled "fiber" ingredients, meaning you could eat several without emergency trips to the bathroom, if you get my drift.New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

I'll admit, as a competitive bodybuilder, bars are not my thing MOST of the time. To add to this, certain popular brands are loaded with artificial flavors, additives and sugar alcohols to make them taste good. While the taste is decent, they lock my digestion up and I just don't like this. Im glad Animal is coming out with a more natural, tasty bar with quality ingredients rather than a bunch of fake stuff to make it taste good and give you the illusion that its "healthy". If I was in a bind and couldn't get to proper meal, id be okay with replacing with this bar. The taste to me is just a bonus. It digests well and afterall, digestion is everything.

Frank McGrath has digestive issues associated with his car accidents all those years ago. He tested these bars and loved the digestibility. I think that's largely owing to the clean nature of the ingredients.
It must be really exciting for you to buy bars at the store. You never know what you're going to get it sounds like.New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal
