I know some Muslims, and they are great people. One works at a hospital, very intelligent, super kind person. A good friend. Know some others like him.
A good number of the Muslims in western countries are amazing people and normal like anyone else.
However, that's largely due to surroundings and the world that westerners designed. The thing is, by protecting that minority in the west (the good people) you allow the influx of the majority in ME countries that believe in Sharia law and making women second class citizens, etc.
The Canadian guy in here (it's always either Canadian or Swedish lol) suggesting that we can't label Islam a dangerous religion because he's afraid of hurting the good ones is.. well, dangerous.
Now.. does that mean you should pre-judge someone? No, if I met a guy and he told me he's Muslim, so what? I'd judge that person for who he is and how he treats others. Still though, to ignore their majority culture and how they treat women and how they impose their religion on others is only going to lead to more hurt people.
Atleast that's my opinion right now, totally subject to change and I'm always trying to improve my views. However as of right now, May 2017, I'd say ignoring this problem is just going to create a bigger problem I also believe that people who oppose that are just virtue signaling online to make themselves feel superior which is the most annoying thing ever.
-coming from an educated guy from one of the most liberal places in the US with very liberal friends, raised and very close to people who are minorities. Not that any of that matters, just that the left likes to play identity politics so I'm saying that for them since that's what seems to matter to them.Last edited by Hadtodoit; 05-07-2017 at 11:17 PM.

RIP French people, stuck between a rock and a hard place just like Americans in the last election
Both candidates equally awful, both candidates equally socialist, both condidates unwilling to reform the legislation and cut government spending and power.
France's "problems" with immigrants stem almost entirely from their labour market legislation. They have enforced 35 hour work weeks, high minimum wages, it's really hard to fire people. These factors mean that immigrants (who are often lower skilled ) simply can't join the formal labour force and so get despondent.
Additionally, they tend to segregate immigrants into certain areas by building social housing for them. This is exacerbated by years of draconian property zoning.
Make no mistake, the "problem" of immigrants in France is a problem engineered entirely by a state that is far too large and has its tentacles in too many economic pies.
France will go the way of Greece Spain Portugal and Italy and we'll need to start referring to them as the F-PIGS.Natty poverty maintenance crew

France is done for, there is no hope for it anymore. It was always cowardly, back-stabbing Jewish controlled state of Europe and that isn't going to change. Let's just hope it gets destroyed by immigrants before it manages to poison and finish the rest of Europe. At this point it's best for France to die and serve as an example.

So because America has killed civilians in a war, your conclusion is.This somehow means Islam isn't a problem anymore and we should just ignore it the attacks. Or every other country should atone for America's sins and Muslims killing innocent people is justified?
Wtf are you even trying to say, do you even know or are you just one of these *******s who like to argue for attention?

terrorism is an ideology that is usually rooted in muslims that are usually converts. i see no problem in monitoring such people, since simply bombing will not kill the ideology.

What I'm saying is it's more complicated than "Islam is a problem".
Do I agree with what the terrorist are doing? No. I can, however, see why they would possibly do what they're doing.
When a powerful country like the US decides to invade for unjust reasons which results in hundreds of thousands of innocents dying, there are going to be consequences. Once again, I don't agree with the actions of the terrorists but they are being bullied by a significantly more powerful nation and are fighting back the only way they can. Not sure if you've ever watched Homeland (very good show, first few seasons anyways) but there is a scene where a schoolyard is bombed because a terrorist lives there. The result is many innocent people dying. Obviously this is a TV show but events like this take place in the real world on a somewhat regular basis.
The surviving relatives of those innocent individuals who were killed now have a real motivation to join the extremist side of Islam so that they can get revenge against the west. Personally I am against most religions but I don't think it's as simple as saying all of Islam is a problem.

So you are for the centralization of power? You would be happy if your country was governed by a small clique of liberals from vastly different cultures who's president is a raging alcoholic (see:Jean claude Juncker)?
