You're misunderstanding the debate then. No one said leucine, isoleucine and valine were un-needed. All three are essential amino acids, thus needed via diet since your body cannot make them. If you're meeting your macro you're getting plenty via your diet, thus supplementing free-form is not needed. If folks aren't taking in proper amounts of protein, they need to fix that issue, not attempt to shore up a crappy diet with 3 free form amino acids.

Congrats on the genetics (or hard work) for the naturally lean state.
An preferred protein intake whether cutting or bulking for you would be around 135g of protein based on your LBM. Going any higher will not necessarily yield a larger amount of muscle mass unless your overall weight(fat free mass) increases or you age which may require more leucine. I doubt that your protein intake is as low as you think it may be.Your nutrition and workout program determines your success.

Yes and no to your first question. And I respect that you have an opinion on this, just as I have an opinion. The key here is making sure none of us ever disguise opinions as facts.
Fine line between arguing and debating, but debating is always more fun. Anyway, I don't necessarily agree with your perspective. I don't think BCAA use is pointless. But I won't won't start a "bro science" war.
Too late. And just like that, the thread devolves into a pissing "bro science" contest.
That's exactly right. This "mumbo jumbo" involves regular folks (translation, guys on the internet) reading pubmed and pretending they are all scientists (if you happen to be a scientist, the right kind here, I apologize in advance). And then they argue online to see who is smarter. As if being smart even mattered. I happen to think I'm a fairly smart guy. Not the smartest. Not the dumbest. Somewhere in the middle. But I don't think it's necessary to be perceived as the smartest guy in the room. As we all know, being the smartest guys in the room can get you in trouble. But I digress. What I do know though is that opinions should not masquerade and facts or worse, the "TRUTH."
And the worst part is, no one is answering the OP's question. Well, I did.New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

That's sort of what I was driving at in my earlier post – the ambiguity and the meaningless of using the phrase "on point." Not only is it highly individualized, I'm not even sure it can even be empirically quantified (among individuals). If this is true, what is the point of debating? Let's just answer the OP's question. That's our job as reps, right?
The more interesting question to me is why we reps (at least some of us) use the phrase at all. Is it a form of shorthand for honesty?New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

Did you read the first few posts?
Actually, the OP's question is being answered by multiple folks.
I can enjoy a good debate, and I won't pretend to know everything on the subject.
"Bro science wars", to use your words, I have no interest in.
Enough of those happenin' in here already.
Did you read everything I wrote, though?
I stated that if your Protein intake is up to level daily, BCAA use actually is pointless.
It could also be counter-productive to overuse BCAA, especially if it is done throughout the day.
I think there is sufficient scientific evidence to support this.
At around 180ish lbs, my daily Protein intake is often close to 200g.
Sometimes it goes above.
I like chicken and I like protein shakes
So here's the question:
If I take in 215g of Protein today from food and shakes, is there any point in also taking 2-3 servings of BCAA?
It is a simple question.
No "bro science" please, as per your request
Cheers.
