that 50mpg tho
i hope your boy is ok, and nothing bad happened..
Unless you are going to Afghanistan (doubt it) or a top tier race car driver, I doubt you are going to utilize most of those features. I LOL when people trick their cars out with unnecessary gear when most will never use that stuff. Its just to be a fanboy to be honest. Even most drivers won't use that stuff (exception is Nascar).
At the end of the day, there's going to be little difference between the way these cars drive. I'm not just talking about the toyota and subaru either, but a majority of the brands out there. All in all, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with my purchase and I don't let BB.com's opinion dictate my purchases lol.

I have to agree most of these are pretty fukin ugly and I'm one that has never really cared what vehicle I drove. I am seeing some good deals on used GMC Terrains around here though. They've got better mpg than some of the other crossovers and an interior/exterior that looks pretty good.MFC

I dont, I'd be fine keeping the Chevy Cruz (even though I don't like it) but she bumped the baby's head getting her in last week and has went full potato thinking we need something bigger now. In the end she's the one that's driving it so I'll let her pick what she prefers, I'm just here to be a cheap ass and get the best deal.

Well . . . all things considered, if your kid is going to total a vehicle, it turned out about as well as one could hope. It was his fault (got the whole thing on dash cam), but nobody was hurt and the guy he hit was exceptionally cool about it. I had to call him a few days after the wreck to get some info from him and the fist words out of his mouth were: "how's your kid doing? Is he ok?". We both had the same insurance co and it was pretty well handled. The fire dept responded but saw nobody was hurt and left before I got there . . . and they said "don't wait for the cops because they said they weren't coming". So there was an online report to file, but no ticket and no points.
So our insurance went up a bit, bit all things considered . . . it could have been multitudes worse. He's still a little afraid of driving, which is a little funny because he got into the wreck because he was being stupid. It's not like something odd happened because of someone else.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

I was beyond-belief po'd when we got home and checked the video. He was on the phone chatting with a girl he knew and wasn't paying attention to what was going on. Sitting at a light where there's usually a left turn arrow . . . but he got there right before the light turned so it went green in both directions. He anticipated the arrow, turned in front of oncoming traffic . . . and, boom.

Just having the barrel on this AR10 is making me happy. It actually looks like a gun for the first time. Cannot wait for this rail to come in. Sucks that it's the only one I want and on backorder. FML

Steel target brahs, talk to me about target stands.
I'm looking for something that is easy to break down and set up, that I can fit in the trunk of my car (no truck). I'd prefer it to be cheap, but willing to spend more if it's more practical for setting up. While not a deal breaker, if it could be broken down enough to throw in the back of a ruck and carried a short distance, that would be much better.
Also, how are you guys hanging them? Chain? 2x4?
This is kinda expensive, but seems great for breaking down and setting up.

Are you running irons? What optic did you decide on?

Got my Tikka CTR in (24", 6.5CM) and tossed the scope and cheap af bipod on. Time to hand load and get out to 1k on the steel range (hopefully next weekend or something).

Part of me is thinking I should cancel my backorder and get the Centurion CMR that I wanted for my "SPR" build 2 years ago...

I suppose this might not be the best option for breaking down to travel with. Unless you take it fully apart I guess.

Going to be about $1200-1300 with the ADM mount. Won't be running any irons on it, other than while I'm waiting for the scope.

I've yet to find anything that doesn't get destroyed fast...but I blast things at 25yds with wolf in my AR. Grade 8 bolts through the I hole get shredded pretty quick. Honestly I have 8 10" discs that I reset. The best thing I've seen is conveyor belt.
Good god, that scope. The only place mine doesn't look absurd is on the 338LM. Heavy as crap too, but it sure is nice.

That actually seems pretty legit. Longer than I'd like, but the short version may work in my back seat or in the trunk if I fold the back seat down. Much cheaper than the one I posted too. Thanks, I'm gonna make a short list of stands and then order a few.
Ah that's right. When do you plan to have everything complete? I'm hoping to get out and shoot in a couple weeks.
These will primarily be for 6.5 creedmoor and 5.56Misc Firearms Crew

Honestly, we're probably going to try to go to Disney World in December or January, and I may not be working between July and then. I don't know when I'll be able to scope it with the optic it deserves. I think Mrs. Ikeman gets a 20k bonus this year but I don't remember. Optimistically? Scoped by XMAS. Pessimistically, scoped in 2018 at some point.
