Use a decent charger, don't use multi-cell lights and don't buy cheap POS random made in china unprotected ___fire cells from some **** random online flea market.

ETA: Also, for lithium ion rechargeable batteries, general guidelines: Never leave the light running unattended with a li-ion, especially on a high setting. Small bright carry lights can get HOT on max settings, especially if they don't have a good thermal regulation circuit (know what your lights have), if any light gets too hot to hold, turn it off to cool. Holding the light in your hand helps keep it from getting too hot as your hand acts as a heat sink. Venting with flame or exploding is rare, as it is rare with power tools and laptops and cell phones and the like, but if it starts something like that, it is a fire hazard, a burn hazard, and a biohazard with the lithium, get it outside away from everybody and everything flammable. This is about as likely as a KB with a gun using factory ammo if you follow the simple safety guidelines
(again, use a decent charger, name brand protected cells, single cell lights, and don't run lights on max to where they are literally too hot to hold). Also do not run them down really low trying to eek out every last drop. They like to be kept charged and topped off, this s not a 'memory' or cycle type of chemistry, anytime you use any of the battery's capacity, and get a chance, feel free to toss it in the charger for a topi off. Preferably after it has cooled if you used it recently.Last edited by Farley1324; 05-11-2017 at 02:28 PM.

few questions -
1) i cannot get comfortable carrying the glock 19. Its too big and uncomfortable. I will be ordering a 43 within the next week or two. The only thing that concerns me is capacity. Do you guys usually carry spare mags as well? i dont want to look like a fukkin fudd
2) I spend a fair amount of time canoeing/kayaking during the summer. Would a regular iwb holster be enough to protect me in case of a tip over or should i just sack up and get a dual retention holster?
3) whats the go-to low profile iwb kydex holster now a days? I have no decent lgs' near me and will have to order without trying it on.BJJ crew

Huge, massive difference between 19 and 43. You skipped right over the 26. Get one of those too.
For a little single stack like that, plenty of people will carry a spare mag, both because of the limited capacity and simply because a spare mag is much easier to carry when it is that small and light, and spare mags are handy for fixing malfunctions or in the unlikely but it happens event that your mag falls out of the pistol at some point for some reason.
A good, well fitting IWB holster behind a properly snug belt should be okay. I would recommend an all kydex hoslter, they offer more consistent retention than the hybrid style (leather/fabric backing and kydex half shell) as the hybrid design relies on that belt pressure and the kydex does not.

I'm a huge fan of the NiteCore chargers, we use the hell out of them with 18650's and CR123's as all our lights and headlamps use those.

I have one 18650 of theirs and it's protected so a little too long most of my lights caps don't fit right. Really like the green Panasonic 18650's those things are pure gold. I haven't tried their flashlights but I think I will next time I need something specific. We're pretty much well all Fenix for the entire family right now with lights and headlamps and I'd expect they're comparable.

I only have one of their lights, only one I've had. It's good though. Huge for what it is, but it runs, and runs efficiently, on any chemistry type AA format battery you can find and has an awesome UI (forward clicky plus up/down buttons on the side, you can go up/down with buttons, half press for temp on or click for full on, hold lower button while turning on to get lowest, hold up button while turning on to get max, otherwise has mode memory, also has secondary red LED to save night vision as the lowest low)
The toughest light I've tested was a Fenix 1x123 I used to carry on my keychain. P1D-CE. Years and years on my keychain, going in pools, droppd onto tile, dropped onto concrete, dropped down flights of concrete stairs, thrown across a parking lot and not caught, it DGAF. Still have it somewhere in one of my wife's purses

I use an NITECORE intellicharger i4. It stops charger so as to not overcharge and have to worry about fire.

I use Olight rechargeable CR123 batteries. Can't overcharge

BLACKHAWK Appendix Reversible Carry Inside the Pants Fits S&W M&P Shield Ambidextrous Holster, Urban Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W5PJBEO..._i.nfzbPB9PVK6
Cheap and very good. Still requires a belt. A belt is a very important part of the carrying system. A good thick belt makes a big difference in comfort/ security etc. If I'm wearing sweats, warm ups, shorts etc I carry a LCP with a trigger guard or kydex full holster. Shield is a little big for pocket carry the way I dress unless it's cold out.

Our Fenix lights take a beating, run over with a truck and obviously dropped and such. I even use my headlamp and flashlight combo for flounder gigging, both have been in saltwater 3-4 feet deep powered on until retrieve the next day, obviously with dead battery. So far only thing I've got are rusty screws on the headlamp but that doesn't bother anything.
What model NiceCore light do you have?

I just got an LCP II for cycling to keep in my jersey pocket. I can't wait to reach back for food and pull out my blaster by accident and have these liberal bike diks freak out and crash in a ditch.

You don't need a machine gun. You don't need 30 rounds.

Fun fact, I didn't realize he was blind until the second time I watched that movie.
Can confirm, very low pro, very operator.
I bought that holster at the LGS when I got my Shield, before I ordered my INCOG. I absolutely hated that Blackhawk. It was cheap and it felt cheap.RIP YGST

MT10A. CPF reviews and measurements indicate it is over 1k lumens with an IMR 14500, which my eyeball comparisons agree with. I do take it whenever I travel since AA batteries are so common and it will run on literally any of them. I keep a NiteCore IMR 14500 in it. Not only does it run on all of those, it does a rather good job running well/efficiently on all of those.
And I love a UI of forward clicky + up/down buttons on the side

43 crew. I love carrying it compared to carry my 19 in an Alien Gear Holster or my Kahr cw9.
The 43 is perfect for my everyday carry. The weight is great, size is very manageable with an iwb holster in normal levis. Printing is non existent with normal and even tighter fitting clothing. Last night I was able to carry in athletic shorts and not print. I have been carrying the spare mag in my jeans at work as well. It's not much of an added burden at all.
As a small framed guy the G43 is a great fit for me personally.
